🎭 FREE THEATRE WORKSHOP 🎭

Ready to explore your creativity and develop your theatre-making skills? Join our friends at ActNow Theatre for special intensive workshops where you’ll get hands-on experience of ActNow Theatre’s creative processes!

Led by Artistic Director Yasmin Gurreeboo, you’ll dive into the themes of Metamorphosis—exploring ideas of being, otherness, and familial duty.

✨ Who can attend?
This workshop is open to everyone aged 18+ at all experience levels, from complete beginners to experienced performers.

🌟 Priority Communities:
ActNow Theatre warmly welcome First Nations, POC, LGBTQIA+, and Disabled people to attend. Allies are also invited to join!

Tuesday 28th 9:30am - 4:30pm
Wednesday 29th Jan 9:30am - 4:30pm

Our friends at are seeking vibrant, enthusiastic and committed volunteers for the festival 7th-10th March. Applications are now open!

Volunteer roles are available across teams including WOMADelaide Bars, Cup Squad, Customer Service, KidZone and Production. Volunteers are welcome to use their Volunteer Wristband to enjoy the festival in their free time.

It is a general condition that volunteers are available across all four days of the festival (roughly 16-20 hours total), in exchange for a Volunteer Wristband.

Open to 14-17 year olds players of all styles and instruments, with a focus on playing in a band and original songwriting.

Come along to our FREE DJ Workshop run by ! Tuesday 17th December, 6pm at NSS 🔥

• The basic functions of a DJ controller and DJ software (what do all the buttons do? 🤔)
• A demonstration using some different DJ techniques like Scratching, Beat Juggling, Beat Mixing and using Effects
• Having a go on a DJ controller - you get the chance to make some noise

Come along to see what DJing is all about, ask questions and get involved in the music community!

The WOMADelaide X NSS Academy Showcase is right around the corner taking place this Saturday at Northern Sound System! 🪩

Ending the night will be Sri Lankan-Australian artist Meena De Silva who began her musical journey at just four years old. With a strong classical background and influences from pop icons like Rihanna and Beyoncé, Meena’s music is a vibrant blend of her experiences.

The City of Playford is delighted to offer a subsidy to up to six approved performers to use The Shedley Theatre during the Adelaide Fringe 2025 from 21 February to 23 March 2025 on Mondays to Thursdays. Applications close 5pm, 8 November 2024.

Approved applications will receive:
• 100% waived venue hire.
• 80% of ticket sales.
• Marketing and tech (sound + lighting) support at no cost.
• Bar opened for no cost.
