YouX as the publisher of On Dit magazine would like to apologise to the Adelaide Jewish community and students at the University of Adelaide for any hurt or harm that may have been caused by the publication of the online article ‘For Palestine, There is No Ceasefire’ by a former editor in August 2022.

YouX is aware that a number of students found the article distressing and after continuing discussions with some of those affected, we believe it is important that we acknowledge this and offer our apology. All students have a right to feel safe and included while attending our University and YouX is committed to maintaining this right.

Since the time of publication, YouX has taken all necessary steps to ensure greater oversight is in place over On Dit content, and editorial processes are improved. This work is ongoing, and we will continue working to ensure On Dit meets the standards expected by our student community.

After a year as your elected Editors, it is time for us to hand over the reigns.
There are so many people to thank. Our wonderful sub-editors for all their hard work, our guest-editors, our friends and family, and finally our contributors and readers. Without your thoughts to fill her pages, and without your hands picking her up, there really is no On Dit.
We’re so grateful to have been afforded this experience. To guide the direction of the 91st edition of this magazine, to put our silly thoughts out for the world to see, to hold power to account, and to give a voice to the student body in these uncertain times has been a privilege.

We hope we DIT-livered for you.
Kathers, Sebastian, Louise, and Sienna. xx
