It started with a message.

We’ve been asked many times already how our project came to be, so we’ll sum it up nice and tidy just for you.

During the start of the COVID-19 crisis, Luke sent a single message to Casey, “I have an idea and wanted to run it by you...”, he described his plan to teach people skills online and asked if he would consider helping him out. Over the next couple of days dozens of calls back and forth had been made, fleshing out and expanding the idea, running through names and structure, until they decided to contact one of the artsiest people they knew could help their tutor skill-base; Millie Sharrad. The three of them with their individual strengths and perspectives finalized a platform on Facebook that could be used as the Hub for those socially isolated, to learn skills and stay productive in such a lonely time, but they were all doing it for the same reason: they missed their mates and knew others in the community had the same problem. It has now evolved into The Quarantine Project, somewhere everyone can come together and learn a skill in a crash course, with 20+ tutors, countless interviews, professional athletes, registered doctors, and a mix of activities for adults & youth.

We’re stoked with the response and work every day to make it the best platform we can, so thanks for checking us out and we hope to see you soon.
