Today, Capriccio’s catalogue includes well over 1,000 titles with repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to contemporary composers, full of re-discoveries and world premieres, and pe

rformed by a steadily growing roster of internationally renowned artists. Capriccio is committed to the music fans that look beyond the paths of mainstream classical music and who are curious to discover unknown repertoires, young artists, as well as inventive programs. All this offer artists like Christine Schäfer, Petersen Quartet, Tabea Zimmermann, Vladimir Spivakov and many others. CEO and master-brain behind Capriccio is Johannes Kernmayer.

🔍 Composer Spotlight: Franz Schreker 🔍

In our latest 'Classical Discoveries' podcast, we shine a light on Franz Schreker, a figure often described as the "missing link" between Schoenberg and Zemlinsky. But who was he?

His music was so innovative it was considered "too modern" and "shocking" in Vienna, yet he was immensely popular. Tragically, the rise of the N***s led to his works being suppressed and largely forgotten.
