Topographies of Change is an online storytelling platform that explores the world of change.
The mood and the public discourse of the 21st century is increasingly infused with the notion of change. Be it positive or negative, accelerated change is affecting everyday life in almost all countries today. It is shaped by the rapid increase of technological disruptions, economic shifts, daunting environmental threats and social transformations. Most societies are daily confronted with reports of growing political uncertainties, robots taking away our jobs, artificial intelligence promising heaven or hell, forced migration or the destruction of ecosystems never seen before in human history.
Changes and challenges dictate our lives today. What is the nature of these changes and how are people responding to these challenges? Which compasses do we need to navigate through the storms of change? What are the new opportunities that we can look forward to? Can we deliberately give a direction to these changes? How can we make our planet more liveable, meaningful and sustainable?
