🇦🇹 Wusstet ihr, dass die klassische Reitkunst ihre Wurzeln in der griechischen Antike hat? Das Wissen wurde an der Spanischen Hofreitschule seit der Renaissance weitergegeben und in den 1898 verschriftlichten "Directiven" verewigt.
Darin wird auch zwischen den beiden wesentlichen Bereichen der Hohen Schule unterschieden: Die "Schulen auf der Erde" und die "Schulen über der Erde". Zu Ersterer zählen: Piaffe, Passage, Galopp-Pirouetten, Traversalen und Einerwechsel. Schulen über der Erde umfassen die drei berühmten Schulsprünge Levade, Kapriole und Courbette.

🇺🇸 Did you know that classical horsemanship dates all the way back to ancient Greece? The knowledge has been passed on at the Spanish Riding School since the Renaissance and has been written down in the so-called "Directives" in 1898.
In this important and still valid document, you can find the distinction between the “schools on the ground” and the “schools above the ground”. The former includes: piaffe, passage, canter pirouettes, half-passes and flying changes. Schools above the ground include the three famous school jumps: Levade, Capriole and Courbette.
