Frank Knabben about his work: "It was written in the style of a typical suite of baroque music and comprises six movements. With the exception of the first movement, there are five real or stylised dances, which are linked to each other both thematically and in terms of content, in addition to the common key. The tonal language and harmony of the B minor Suite are essentially based on the compositional conventions of the Baroque era, but the composer's personal signature is always present and clearly audible. The middle section of the Sarabande in particular bears witness to this."

Harald Banter about his work "Pulsare":

"Of the 70 trillion stars in the cosmos, a pulsar has come into focus. A pulsar is a neutron star that forms from a gas giant of 1-2 solar masses after its material resources are exhausted due to a gravitational collapse in a massive supernova explosion. This process results in a dwarf star consisting exclusively of atomic nuclei, with a diameter of 10-20 km. In this transformation, the pulsar develops an unimaginable rotation speed of 0.001 seconds (in contrast, Earth takes 24 hours for one rotation) and emits lightning pulses into space that can be detected with radio telescopes. Externally, these processes unfold with the precision of a cosmic atomic clock. However, the internal polymetric physical mutations remain hidden from our observation. This remarkable state of existence also has an end. When the atomic nuclei's substance is fully consumed, the pulsar collapses into a black hole, disappearing into massless energy within the singularity. Up to this point, the pulsar's life is driven by the unwavering continuity of the cosmic metronome. As a gesture of gratitude and tribute, I dedicate my composition Pulsare to the memory of my friends and mentors, Hans Werner Henze and Bernd Alois Zimmermann."

"A representation of our modern time, in the chasing of the superfluous, in the bouncing of rumors between strings and piano, they seem to stage a chilling merry-go-round that gradually leads to its self-destruction. A central oasis of peace seems to reconstruct a sense of community, in which everyone can seek his or her own timbre and venture a slow discourse, in which there can be room for subjectivity and a sense of the mystical. Then everything collapses back running to a final antithesis, in which each instrumentalist triumphs in a private, different major key that does not agree with the rest."

Stefano Seghedoni, born in Modena in 1970, holds master’s degrees in Composition (Conservatory of Modena) and Conducting (Conservatory of Bologna). He started his career as a correpetitor and then as a conductor (Italy, South Corea, Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine).

"Nowadays my music is using some "items" from the past (like triads, open chords, modal scales, some echoes of classicals forms) to elaborate my poetic paths. I am also paying much attention to phrasing, creating melodic lines which should be inspired by the spoken languages (using tuplets and other rythmical combinations). I am paying much attention at the idea of "sound" of the piece I am working on, and I use contrasts in my orchestration, in order to "paint" the different phases of tension and relax of my compositions."

Claudio Boetti (b.1956 Milan), began his musical journey as guitarist, forming a pop band and performing songs of their own composition. At the same time, he began theoretical studies and classical guitar deepening technique of this tool. Subsequently, he began his composition studies at the "Civico Istituto Musicale G. Puccini", first under the guidance of M° Giuseppe Azzarelli and then with M° Gabriele Bazzi Bernieri. He collaborated with the Giuseppe Verdi Symphony Orchestra of Milan by orchestrating some excerpts from the musical fables "La nonna di Mozart" and "La Tartarughina", performed at the Milan Auditorium.

Emilio Arnaldo Pischedda was born in 1984 and studied cello, pedagogy and composition at the Cherubini Conservatory of Music in Florence. The music of Emilio Pischedda is rooted in the XX century italian avant-garde with influences by Luigi Dallapiccola, Luciano Berio and strongly inspired by the music of Alfred Schnittke. His music mixes tonality, serialism and folk music in an original way. He writes music for solo instruments, chamber music (also with voices), music for orchestra and chorus.

"Sunset on the Spire (Introspective Blues #2) by Aaron Alter is an Art Song for Soprano Voice that is in the tradition of Art Songs by Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms, but with a more modern instrumental accompaniment of a Jazz Quintet of Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Piano, Double-Bass and Drum Set. The text is by the early 20th century American poet, Elinor Wylie. The beginning and end of the song are in a Blues style, while the middle section is in a style that is more Brahms-inspired."
