Der KZ-Überlebende und Holocaust-Zeitzeuge Daniel Chanoch ist mit 92 Jahren verstorben. Er war von den N**is unter anderem in die Konzentrationslager Dachau, Auschwitz-Birkenau und Mauthausen verschleppt worden. Chanoch betonte in seinen öffentlichen Auftritten immer wieder die Bedeutung der Demokratie, der Menschenrechte und der Solidarität zwischen den Menschen:
