Boldness through and through

Let this outfit serve as one of my entries to the infamous hosted by my dear stylish friends .p.bernal and .

Most notable for em is the green coat here - a new addition to my coat collection. A stunner of a dust/rain coat lined with a blanket type fabric to keep you warm even when on the colder winter days.

What’s cooler than being cool?

Ice blue cashmere - as in this jacket I wore the other day paired with a corduroy shirt and tweed trousers in a heavy winter fabric galore to keep me from freezing

Life’s too short to wear boring clothes!

Mixing it up a bit with a black corduroy suit and a checked flannel western shirt. The knit tee provides an extra layer in those winter days and keeps the chest from freezing.

Earth tones galore

If you’ve been following me you might have noticed that I’m a big fan of earth tones - they are imho perfect for simple and elegant looks and are very versatile.

Here’s a semi-casual outfit rendition featuring a brown flannel suit, beige flannel shirt and green sleeveless cardigan. Topped by a caramel colored wool/cashmere coat.

Simple elegance

A crewneck with a suit goes a long way imho. Not as „dressy“ as a shirt and tie combo but still elevated enough to counter every day challenges with sophistication.

Guess I should have been a cowboy

I’m lucky enough to be able to express myself and my opinions freely - so even if I’m living in a big city working an office job I am able to choose wearing western and workwear (inspired) garments.

I find it a nice change of pace to the more classic looks I do also wear frequently and with great pleasure.

Casual retro vibes

The motto of this fit which I based around the beautiful vintage tie which was a parting gift from my former boss.

Elevated layers

Mixing tailoring with casual elements like a denim western shirt has become one of my favorite style elements. Such as I did here - with a blue combo to go with the checked sports coat. All in all complimented by a vintage neckerchief I picked up in Florence during last Pitti Uomo

Vintage workwear layering

NGL im not the biggest Winter fan - by end of January I’ve usually had enough and I’m longing for warmer weather - also to wear lighter jackets again of which I have a few.

So to accommodate that - I started to layer them. If you can wear a sports coat under a coat why not also a denim jacket or other lighter jacket.

This one here is a vintage work jacket from the 70ies which can easily be seen by the insane collar. I paired it in a retro infused look with ecru denim jeans and a light grey cashmere rollneck - topped by a navy peacoat.

Keeping it simple

So this week I started a new job - naturally I was thinking about what to wear to my first day. You want to make a good impression without ousting others and make them uncomfortable. Especially when there is no dress code at the office und you are not sure how others dress.

So I opted for an easy combination - the menswear uniform. A classic that has never failed me. Making it a bit more casual with an OCBD and a light blue sweater vest for fun. Black loafers and you’re good to go.

Pitti 107 - day 4

A casual travel outfit I dubbed “The Ranchhand”. It features a cashmere turtleneck underneath a checked flannel shirt paired with vintage Dickies chinos and suede boots. Notable also the vintage suede jacket, hat and shades.

Pitti 107 - day 3

Today a little more British with a khaki corduroy suit and fair isle vest, paired with a green tweed tie and beige flannel shirt.

The dark brown flat cap and darker shoes tie it all together. As it is a very windy and cold day I also opted for a tweed coat to protect me from the elements.

Pitti 107 - day 2

A mix of sartorialism and western wear sums up this look pretty much. Western boots and shirt paired with a flannel chalk stripe suit and bandana. All covered by a vintage shearling coat.

Pitti Uomo 107 - day 1

It’s good to be back at Pitti and Florence - meeting a lot of friends and also making new acquaintances.

This was my outfit for the first day - a military infused look with black flannel trousers, black turtleneck, an army style shirt and a vintage army coat.

Brown and berry

Layers are a great way to fight the colder weather and at the same time to add some contrast or bolder color to an outfit - like I did here to spruce up the brown combination with a berry sweater vest.

A light brown affair

Even if we have some contrast here I still consider it somewhat tonal. The jacket is a recent vintage find I couldn’t resist cut from a soft tweed fabric.

The trousers have been in my wardrobe quite a while now and tbh I don’t really like the narrow leg anymore but you gotta work with what you got amirite?

Bringing Country back

A classic combination which I always associate with British country aesthetics- Tweed, corduroy and heavy lambswool knit. All held in earthy/neutral colors and paired with a burgundy striped BD shirt and a matching neckerchief.
