NOTA: Probablemente veas en películas, música, etc, ambas formas en cualquier situación pero RECORDÁ que si lo que buscas es formalidad y educación al hablar ingles debes marcar la diferencia usando MAY.

IT'S es una contracción de It is (es), se coloca el apostrofe y se quita la letra "i".

DIFERENCIAS ENTRE IN, ON y AT PARTE 2

Excepciones: Tecnologia

En la television = on (the) television
En la radio = on the radio
En la computadora = on the computer

Excepciones: En la referencias al tiempo

Periodos de tiempo: Cuando se refiere a un período de tiempo, por ejemplo, en marzo, en (el) verano, en 2012, en dos semanas, etc, el “en” tiene el sentido de “dentro de“ así que se utiliza “in”, por ejemplo, in March, in (the) summer, in 2012, in two weeks, etc. Utiliza “in” con los meses, las estaciones, los años y los períodos de tiempo.

Ejemplos:
Many Spaniards go on holiday in August.
Muchos españoles van de vacaciones en Agostos

Steve Jobs se murió en 2011.
Steve Jobs died in 2011

Festivos:
En Navidad = at Christmas
En Semana Santa / Pascua = at Easter

Días y fechas puntuales:

Aunque en español no se utiliza “en” con los días o las fechas, en inglés cuando se refiere a un día o una fecha puntual (p.ej. “el lunes” o “el 15 de junio”) o un día repetido (p.ej. los sábados) se utiliza “on”. Por ejemplo:

On Friday they’re going to London for the weekend.
El viernes se van a Londres a pasar el fin de semana.

On Mondays I have to get up early.
Los lunes tengo que levantarme temprano.

SABÍAS QUE.. 🤔

En inglés hay tres formas de decir "en": in, on y at. ¿Pero cuando se usa uno u otro?

"en" cuando significa dentro = in
"en" cuando significa por encima = on
"en" cuando se refiere a una posición que no es ni dentro ni por encima = at

Algunos ejemplos:
The pizza is IN the oven. - La pizza está en el horno. (dentro)
I love swimming IN the sea. - Me encanta nadar en el mar. (dentro)

I’m going to relax ON the sofa this evening. - Voy a relajarme en el sofá esta tarde.
I left the report ON your desk. - Dejé el informe en tu mesa/escritorio.

The car stopped AT the traffic lights. - El coche paró en el semáforo.
Let’s meet at the monument at two o’clock. - Nos encontremos en el monumento a las dos.

Excepciones: transporte público:
Aquellos transportes públicos donde podés levantarte y caminar se utiliza ON y en los que no podés levantarte y caminar se usa IN.

Ejemplos:
En el colectivo = on the bus
En el tren = on the train
En el avion = on the plane

En el auto = in the car
En el taxi = in the taxi
(ya que no podés caminar dentro de ellos)

SABÍAS QUE... 🤔

Parece fácil confundir “no-one” y “none”, pero son diferentes en el significado, uso y pronunciación:

"No-one" es sinónimo de "nobody" significa "nadie" y nunca va seguido de la preposición "of"

"None" significa "ninguna" y puede ir seguido de la preposición "of". Cuando haya preposición “of”, detrás de esta habrá un determinante o un pronombre.

No-one is tall in my family. - Nadie es alto en mi familia.
None of the members of my family is tall - Ninguno de los miembros de mi familia es alto

No-one passed the exam. - Nadie aprobó el examen.
None of us passed the exam - Ninguno de nosotros aprobó el examen.

"As" se utiliza cuando en castellano decimos "en calidad de"; "de la manera en que"; "a modo de"

-You can use my sofa as a bed. / Podés usar mi sofá a modo de cama.
-Ana works as a nutritionist in a hospital. / Ana trabaja como/ en calidad de nutricionista en un hospital.

"Like" se utiliza cuando decimos "como" a la hora de comparar

-My new girlfriend is exactly like me. / Mi novia nueva es exactamente como yo.
-Stop acting like a child. / Dejá de comportarte como un niño!
