2024: Wrapped Up!
What A Year.
Here’s a fast-forward rewind of what kept us busy at Karmir this year:
New Space, New Vibes
We moved to a cool, cozy new location in Armenia because film + coffee = the perfect combo. Plus, we added a Karmir specialty coffee corner!
Hello, Serbia, Belgrade!
We opened our first international lab in Serbia. Such a super-friendly community with open and modern people. From day one, we felt how much small businesses like ours mean to people.
LA, We Are Coming
Now it’s time to work on our dream project: opening a lab in Los Angeles. We’re combining casual and pro lab segments with our branded rolled films, pro scanning, and development services. Expect a fresh take on scanning and a bold approach to color interpretation. Big dreams, big plans. Blake Avenue, get ready—we’re opening soon!
More Than 12,000 Rolls Developed
That’s thousands of moments, memories, and masterpieces brought to life in our labs.
20,000+ Rolls of Karmir 160 Film Sold
Distributed worldwide in over 20 countries—from Yerevan to Tokyo.
Our Team Is Growing
We’ve expanded, and we’re so grateful for every single one of you.
This year has been all about growth, creativity, and community. We couldn’t have done it without you. Exhausted but happy—we’re ready for what’s next.
Love and peace in 2025. Here’s to even more creative projects ahead!
We invite you to join us at our exhibition at the Yerevan International Photo Festival!

«How Scanners See Your Film» — Open Lecture
Registration required via DM.
Hey there! We’re hosting a cool open lecture at Karmir Film Lab, all about how different scanners can totally change the look of your film photos.
Did you know that scanners can be just as important as the film and development process? The same shot can look completely different depending on the scanner you use—everything from dynamic range to grain and color gets affected.
We’ll be showing you the scanning process live, using some of the most popular scanners out there. Stick around after the lecture for a casual discussion—we’d love to chat more about the ins and outs of film scanning.
We’d be super happy to see you there!

Did you know that motion picture color film has to be developed by a different process? It's much more complicated to do! This process is called ECN-2.
