The Noosfera Foundation is glad to announce its second edition of the CinéDOC Summer School, focusing on editing and the art of storytelling at the editing stage.
This year we cooperate with the Film University “Konrad Wolf” from Potsdam-Babelsberg, Germany, and we will also welcome a group of students as well as a professor from this well-known film academy.
We offer an intensive week of lectures, exercises and one-to-one meetings, conducted by an international team of specialists within the field of this year’s focus: Re-imagine.
The tutors of this year’s Summer School edition are: Dana Bunescu (Romania), film editor and winner of the Silver Bear Award for editing at the Berlinale, Tue Steen Müller (Denmark), film expert and Merle Jothe (Germany), professor at the Film University “Konrad Wolf”.
This call is open for emerging filmmakers of all ages from Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, who have a documentary project in development, in production or post-production.
Application requirements:
- a current project you would like to bring to the CinéDOC Summer School
- a link to previous documentary work, preferably subtitled in English
- a good level of English language
- a Participation fee of USD 150 (covering hotel expenses, full board, tuition fees) upon selection, for Georgian participants the same amount's equivalent in Georgian Lari.
Noosfera Foundation allocates a part of its overall budget to scholarships. Please kindly inform us, in the application form below, if you would like to apply for a scholarship (meaning, a partly reduction of the participation fee) from the side of the organizers.
The deadline for applications is 23 June 2019. Summer School dates are scheduled for: 29 July - 6 August 2019.
