Këshilli Ndërfetar i Shqipërisë në Fokusin e Raportit të OSCE/ODIHR-it

Këshilli Ndërfetar i Shqipërisë (KNFSH) është një nga shembujt e praktikave të mira të dialogut ndërfetar, i përfshirë në raportin e OSCE/ODIHR mbi lirinë e fesë dhe besimit. I themeluar në vitin 2007 nga përfaqësuesit e katër komuniteteve më të mëdha fetare në vend, më vonë i zgjeruar edhe me komunitetin ungjillor, Këshilli ka luajtur një rol të rëndësishëm në promovimin e dialogut ndërfetar, mirëkuptimit dhe harmonisë fetare në Shqipëri dhe përtej saj.
Sipas raportit, Këshilli garanton një pjesëmarrje të barabartë të të gjitha komuniteteve të përfaqësuara, duke funksionuar me një sistem drejtues rotativ mes liderëve fetarë. Raporti përmend si një aspekt të rëndësishëm përfshirjen e grave dhe të rinjve në veprimtaritë e tij, ku në Bordin Ekzekutiv një e treta janë gra.
Për më tepër, KNFSH ka luajtur një rol aktiv në çështje të rëndësishme shoqërore, duke nxjerrë deklarata publike për të kundërshtuar dezinformimin dhe urrejtjen fetare, si dhe duke ndërmarrë iniciativa për mbështetjen e viktimave të dhunës dhe terrorizmit. Gjatë krizave, si pandemia COVID-19 dhe pas ngjarjeve ndërkombëtare, Këshilli ka dhënë deklarata dhe mesazhe uniteti e solidariteti.
Këshilli gjithashtu është angazhuar në veprime humanitare, si ndihma për të prekurit nga tërmeti i vitit 2019 dhe projektet e mbështetjes për familjet e të rikthyerve nga konflikti në Siri, duke ofruar ndihmë dhe asistencë në rehabilitimin e tyre falë dhe mbështetjes së disa organizatave ndërkombëtare.
Puna e Këshillit Ndërfetar të Shqipërisë është njohur me çmime dhe vlerësime kombëtare e ndërkombëtare, duke theksuar rëndësinë e tij në ndërtimin e një shoqërie të qëndrueshme dhe të harmonizuar fetarisht në Shqipëri.

: SDGs Roundtable Discussion 2024

On September 24, 2024, the Journalists and Writers Foundation (JWF) hosted the SDGs Roundtable Discussion 2024 in the margins of the 79th UN General Assembly (UNGA79) in New York. This pivotal side-event brought together civil society members, journalists, academics, and human rights advocates to explore solutions for sustainable peace and development.

Key discussions included:

🔹 Round 1: Interfaith Contributions to SDGs Achievements
- Breaking the Cycle of Poverty
- Health and Wellness through Interfaith Efforts
- Education and Equality for All through Interfaith Partnerships
- SDG 16 – Peaceful, Just, and Inclusive Societies

- Building Inclusive Societies through Civic Initiatives
- Faith Communities as Change-Makers

These discussions fostered collaboration, sharing insights and strategies to create inclusive, sustainable, and peaceful societies.

JWF is co-organizing 13 panels with 17 NGOs from 7 countries—including Albania, Canada, Latin America, Poland, Romania, the UK, and the USA, addressing critical issues related to gender equality and women’s empowerment. during the 69th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69), which will take place from 10-21 March 2025 at the UN Headquarters in New York.

This session marks 30 years since the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, a landmark commitment to advancing gender equality. It’s a pivotal moment to analyze progress, address persistent inequality gaps, and revitalize efforts in all 12 thematic areas, ensuring a better future for women and girls across the globe.

Our inspiring visit to some of Tirana's most iconic cultural and religious landmarks was a truly enriching experience. From the historic Et’hem Bey Mosque 🕌, a symbol of Albanian heritage, to the Orthodox & Catholic Cathedrals ⛪, showcasing the country’s rich religious diversity, we explored Albania’s deep-rooted tradition of tolerance and unity.

We also had the privilege of discovering the unique Pyramid Cultural Center 🏛️, a hub of creativity and transformation, and Tirana Castle 🏰, where the city’s fascinating history comes to life.
