جاستین ترودو، نخست‌وزیر کانادا در پیامی، شروع ماه رمضان در کانادا را به مسلمانان این کشور تبریک گفت و از نقش مسلمانانی که پس از مهاجرت به کانادا در رونق و پیشرفت این کشور نقش داشته‌اند صحبت کرد.
امروز برای مسلمانان کانادا و سایر کشورهای جهان، آغاز ماه رمضان است. در این یک ماهِ پیش رو، مردم در طول روز عبادت و تفکر می‌کنند
و با فرارسیدن غروب، روزه‌ی آن روز خود را افطار می‌کنند. لحظه‌ی افطار، دعوت از مسلمانان است برای ارج نهادن به ارزش‌های اساسی اسلام؛
ارزش‌هایی چون مهربانی، صلح، و خدمت به دیگران؛ و اگرچه شکی نیست که رمضان امسال، متفاوت از سال‌های دیگر است، اما می‌دانم مردم هنوز هم راه‌هایی برای تحقق معنای واقعی زندگی می‌یابند. در معادن افغانستان سنگ های عجیب پیدا شده که برق تولید می‌کند
محمد صدیق چکری، فاروق وردک و برقی امان غالب نام های آشنا با فساد ، دزدی ، اختلاس و تزویر گره خورده است که در این اواخر به کشور برگشتند که دوباره دست به غارت و چپاول بیت المال بزنند ، چکری در زمان حکومت حامد کرزی وزیر حج و اوقاف بود. صدیق چکری تنها از انتقال حجاج به عربستان سعودی ششصد هزار دالر نقد را در کارتن بیسکویت جاسازی کرده و به کابل انتقال داده بود . در میدان هوایی کابل دالر ها توسط امنیت ملی ضبط شد ، قضیه محول دادستانی کل افغانستان شد اما صدیق چکری در حالی که سرپرست برحال وزارت حج واوقاف بود به لندن فرار کرد.
