For our 9th episode, I had the pleasure of chatting to Zeina Hamad, a wife, mum of 2 boys and now an author, who has created a book series and got it published. With no experience in the publishing world, she worked with book publishers, illustrators and printers and managed to get her book series to market.
Her background is in teaching, but loves to write and create stories for kids. She talks about the challenges she has faced, tips to help others and what she has planned for the book series in the future.
Zeina gives a very honest and humble insight into her journey and hopes she can inspire other mums to do the same and make an idea come to life.
The books series is called Matti & Massi Missions. Please visit her site

https://mattimassimissions.com/ and her instagram channel for more info.
But more importantly, you can buy her books online!
All feedback welcome on the podcast, so please keep listening, sharing and subscribing.

Our 8th episode is on the martial art of Jujitsu, a subject that has really captured my imagination. I believe creativity can be found anywhere, and the more I look at Jujitsu the more creativity within it I discover. I was fortunate enough to have time with 'Coach Mumtaz' from the Royce Gracie academy in Dubai. His experience in martial arts, life and coaching is very unique, and his insights on the creative side of Jujitsu was really inspiring.

An Ex-US Army Ranger that served in the Special Operations unit. Growing up in North Carolina USA, Coach Mumtaz started his martial arts career training Jeet Kune Do and later developed a love for the sweet science of boxing. He is also a 2nd degree Black Belt in Brazilian/Gracie Jiu Jitsu. He has been teaching martial arts for over two decades and has dedicated his life to inspire the younger generations through the way of martial arts.

Coach Mumtaz talks about creativity in Jujitsu, How its intertwined in the martial arts, how he got his black belt, the importance of teaching kids, and much much more.

This podcast has a wealth of knowledge from one of the best coaches in the industry.  Please send us your feedback to [email protected]. All feedback welcome. You can find out more about Coach Mumtaz at https://roycegraciedubai.com/

Our 6th episode is on the Arabic language. I was lucky enough to grab some time with Ola from agency Alef Yaa to talk about a subject that is very close to my heart. Ola, originally from Syria has been in the region for many years, starting out as a freelance captions writer for TV, and then went on to found her agency, Alef Yaa, who work for global and local brands creating arabic content.

Ola talks about common Arabic dialects, arabisation and translation, creating modern Arabic for all audiences and her passion for the Arabic language, which started when she was a little girl reading mainstream magazines from the UK.

I got to find out about visco girls, arabeezee and white arabic, yeah I didnt know what all those were either. :)

Ola brings a wealth of knowledge to this podcast theme and I walked away from it with even more questions…perhaps a part 2 coming soon.

Thank you for you time.

Our 5th episode is on Designing coffee. we sat down with the 'cool as ice' Leon Surynt from .coffee to talk about one of my favourite subjects, Coffee. Leon is always crafting something special to give to the community, but he is also a business builder who is on a constant journey of discovery in Food, Beverage and Design.

Leon talks about how he started out in the business back in his home town of wellington, NZ. We also deep dived into his processes with Nightjar, coffee crafting and cold brew, tea making, coffee sustainability and Coffee pricing, as well as advice to people thinking of starting out in coffee.

It was a bumpy start to the show, as Leon felt parched, so after satisfying his thirst we quickly got the show on the road. We hope you love this episode as much as we did.

Ps Please send us your feedback to [email protected]. All feedback welcome.

You can find out more about Leon and Nightjar https://nightjar.coffee/

Sometimes you have to push the limits and take a chance on ideas.

In a world where influencers voice is more powerful than the brand they promote, we decided to take a different tone with these ads for a new food concept.
