Merchants in the UAE can now accept contactless payments directly on their iPhones with Apple’s Tap to Pay. No extra hardware needed—just hold your card or phone near an iPhone XS or newer running the latest iOS. Partner platforms like Adyen, Magnati, and Network International are among the first to roll out the feature, supporting major networks like Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

Secure and private, Apple says the payments are encrypted and processed via the Secure Element, with no access to buyer identities or purchase details. Could this change how small businesses handle payments in the UAE?
