In her Interview with ELLE Arabia our coverstar Andria Tayeh shares her thoughts on how her current reality contrasts with her initial expectations for her future saying “ I guess it would be a difference of career paths, given that acting is a career that is not planned ahead and depends on many things working out simultaneously. If I didn’t get into acting, I would probably be in the business management sector, as this is the degree I pursued at university.”

In her conversation with ELLE Arabia our coverstar Andria Tayeh discusses how she effectively managed her time, balancing the demands of her acting career with her university studies saying “It was not easy at all, as I had set goals of graduating with honors, which I achieved. But to balance acting and studying, I used to wake up at 6AM, go to the gym, then go to my classes and finish all my work before the evening where I had all my meetings and work-related things. It was especially the hardest when I had to travel, as I would come back sleep deprived and pull all- nighters to prepare for the exams the next day. It was hard but rewarding work.”

تحدثت نجمة الغلاف أندريا طايع في مقابلتها مع ELLE Arabia، عن كيفية إدارة وقتها بشكل فعال، وتحقيق التوازن بين متطلبات حياتها المهنية ودراستها الجامعية قائلة “ دراسة في الجامعة. على الإطلاق، إذ كنت قد صممت على التخرج بمرتبة الشرف، وهو ما حققته. لكن لتحقيق التوازن بين التمثيل والدراسة، كنت أستيقظ في السادسة صباحاً وأذهب إلى صالة الألعاب الرياضيّة، ثم ّ أذهب لحضور حصصي الدراسيّة وأنهي جميع أعمالي قبل المساء حيث كنت أعقد جميع اجتماعاتي وأعالج الأمور المتعلّقة بالعمل. كان الأمر أصعب بشكل ٍ خاص عندما اضطررت للسفر، بحيث كنت أعود محرومة ً من النوم وأقضي الليل كلّه للتحضير لامتحانات اليوم التالي. لقد كان عملاً صعباً ولكنّه مجز !

Meet Julyana Al-Sadeq, the first Jordanian and Arab woman to achieve the No. 1 ranking in World Taekwondo. She has enjoyed significant success in recent years, winning gold medals at the Asian Championships in 2021 and 2022, and securing a silver medal at the 2023 World Taekwondo Championships.

Get to know Safiya Al-Sayegh the UAE’s first professional female cyclist and currently rides for the UCI Women’sWorld Team, UAE Team ADQ. In the run up to the Olympics, Safiya was selected as the female representative of the UAE’s Olympic Committee Athlete Board, to ‘share the voice of women athletes in the UAE and try to make a change for the better’. All this, Safiya has achieved alongside studying for a degree at the American University in Dubai, where she has been placed on the Dean’s Honour List for outstanding academic achievement.

تعرف على صفية الصايغ وهي أول راكبة دراجات محترفة في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وهي تشارك حاليا في الفريق العالمي للسيدات التابع للاتحاد الدولي للدراجات، فريق الإمارات العربية المتحدة ADQ. في الفترة التي سبقت الألعاب الأولمبية ،تم اختيار صفية كممثلة للمجلس الرياضي للجنة الأولمبية الإماراتية، من أجل “مشاركة صوت الرياضيات في الإمارات العربية المتحدة ومحاولة إحداث تغيير نحو الأفضل”.كّل هذا، حّققته صفية إلى جانب دراستها للحصول على شهادة جامعية في الجامعة الأميركية في دبي، حيث تّم وضعها على قائمة الشرف في قائمة العميد لإنجازها الأكاديمي المتمّيز.

Meet Farida Osman, the sole Egyptian, Arabic, and African athlete to claim two medals in the World Swimming Championships.Championships. She left Cairo after high school to study and swim at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2011, she became the Junior World Record Holder in the 50m Butterfly, putting Egypt on the leaderboard for the first time. Osman also holds the African Continental Records in the 50m Freestyle, and 50m and 100m Butterfly events. In 2017, she was named the African Female Athlete of the Year.

تعرفي على فريدة عثمان، الرياضية المصرية والعربية والإفريقية الوحيدة التي حصلت على ميداليتين في بطولة العالم في السباحة. غادرت القاهرة بعد المدرسة الثانوية لإستكمال الدراسة والسباحة في جامعة كاليفورنيا، بيركلي. وفي عام 2011، أصبحت صاحبة الرقم القياسي العالمي للناشئين في سباق 50 مترًا فراشة، مما وضع مصر على قائمة المتصدرين لأول مرة. كما تحمل عثمان الأرقام القياسية الأفريقية في سباقات 50 متر حرة و50 متر و100 متر فراشة. وفي عام 2017، حصلت على لقب أفضل رياضية أفريقية لهذا العام.
