Mohammed bin Rashid launches AED2 billion Dubai Police projects to boost security and community wellbeing

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAEand Ruler of Dubai, has launched a series of strategic Dubai Police projects valued at AED2 billion. These initiatives aim to bolster security and safety, invest in specialised police training, and enhance employee wellbeing through housing projects designed to promote family stability.

Hamdan bin Mohammed gives green light for construction of Dubai’s first aerial taxi

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, gave the green light for the construction of Dubai’s first aerial taxi vertiport near Dubai International Airport. The initiative is set to make Dubai the world’s first city to offer urban aerial transport through an advanced aerial taxi take-off and landing network.

Featuring a modern design that complements Dubai’s urban landscape, the vertiport is set to offer passengers a unique, comfortable and seamless mobility experience.

Spanning 3,100 square metres, the vertiport features designated zones for take-off and landing, aircraft charging, a dedicated aerial taxi apron, and a parking area. With a capacity for approximately 42,000 landings annually, it is expected to serve around 170,000 riders per year....

Reinstated flight will meet market demand and offer customers more travel options

Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has touched down in the Scottish capital for the first time since 2020. The Emirates Boeing 777 was welcomed by the celebrated Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, captivating passengers with an extraordinary display of musical prowess on the ground.

Edinburgh is Emirates’ eighth destination in the UK. The daily service will complement the airline’s current A380 daily flight to Glasgow – offering customers 14 weekly flights to/from the country.

Hamdan bin Mohammed reviews RTA’s AED16 billion 2024-2027 Main Roads Development Plan

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai reviewed the transformative initiatives of Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) aimed at advancing urban mobility and infrastructure. These include the AED16 billion 2024-2027 Main Roads Development Plan, which will add 22 projects across Dubai’s expanding road network, benefiting over 6 million people and supporting Dubai’s comprehensive development plans. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed also reviewed a series of projects and initiatives in autonomous transport and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in traffic management focused on enhancing mobility in Dubai.
