What a magical autumn day at Lake Parz, Dilijan! 🍁

Went on a picnic 🧺 with friends surrounded by golden trees #, fresh mountain air, and peaceful vibes. The reflection of the fall colors on the lake was just breathtaking!
Armenia truly knows how to show off in autumn. 🌿🍁

Lake parz

Lake Parz is a hidden gem located in Dilijan National Park, Armenia, surrounded by lush forests and set at an altitude of about 1,330 meters above sea level. The name β€œParz” means β€œclear” in Armenian, fitting its emerald-green waters that perfectly reflect the autumn foliage. The lake is about 300–385 meters long, 85–100 meters wide, and up to 10 meters deep, formed by natural springs and landslides.

The lake is easily reached from Dilijan and is a great destination for a half-day or full-day getaway, making it a must-visit spot in Armenia, particularly beautiful from May to October and especially in the autumn season.

Cascade Complex Armenia πŸ‡¦πŸ‡²

The Cascade is Yerevan’s dramatic terraced stairway and one of the city’s most beloved landmarks β€” a monumental ribbon of white tufa and travertine that climbs from the Tamanyan Street gardens up toward Victory Park. It was conceived as part of Alexander Tamanyan’s master plan and was built in stages from the 1970s; today the complex stretches over several levels with fountains, planted terraces and dozens of outdoor sculptures that make it feel like an open-air museum.

Hidden inside the terraces is the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, a contemporary art museum and gallery complex founded by Gerard L. Cafesjian that animated the Cascade with exhibition spaces, escalators and galleries opened to the public in the 2000s. Visitors often climb the long stair flights (there are several hundred steps and multiple viewing platforms) to enjoy sweeping panoramic views of Yerevan and, on clear days, Mount Ararat rising on the horizon.

Whether you come for photography, people-watching, sculpture-hunting or a quiet stroll through layered gardens, the Cascade feels both civic and intimate β€” a modernist monument transformed into a lively cultural spine where art, architecture and city life meet.
