Last weekend at Abu Dhabi F1 was packed full of great moments and i found out that Air Jordan 5s are the most uncomfortable sneakers for a long weekend of loud music, lots of moving around and seeing everyone i’ve ever met in one place. 🔥

I rocked the Wet Deck at W Abu Dhabi so hard that CID cane and shut the door down. 😐

Great success.

Still, had an epic time and looking to next year’s madness. 😎

I was super happy to attend my first Bitcoin conference and meet some of the people i most respect in the crypto world. Although i’ve been in it for a short amount of time, i’ve been absorbing as much information as possible and am now in it for life going forward.

It was a pleasure to meet these cats and to delve into this world some more.

I’ve been playing records to people on dancefloors for 30yrs.

It’s now a reflex. A place i go to put me at ease and to let me flex a bit of creativity with some good music. I remember when i first started, i looked at some of the well known global DJs and i always wanted the backstory to go with the skills and the name.

There has always been DJs who blew up from a ghostwritten song or some manufactured hype but i never wanted that.

I wanted that real history that could only be earned by thousands of gigs across the years, honing my skills and my internal music knowledge.

Well, i’m 30 yrs in and i still love playing. Starting off playing vinyl in a bunch of sh*tty London clubs, eventually taking me out to the festivals and superclubs, and then internationally.

There’s a few things i could have probably done better but the learning process would probably have been similar.

There’s no getting around having to put in the work and actually earning the respect of your peers, not just for the hype behind your name but also for the skills you have behind the decks and in the studio.

Hype is just hype.
If your skills and vast experience aren’t what’s propelling you forward then you’re missing the point. At some point, every lie gets exposed.

But it’s gotta be a journey you want to take and that is more important than the goal itself.

Logos, pictures and social media does not make a good DJ. Earn the respect.

MFs, i ain’t going to stop. It’s too much fun.

A week later, i’m still laughing.. It’s hard to believe that i was unfollowed by over 300 people because i posted a funny Trump video. I thought nothing of posting it because it was just a funny video. I’m not particularly political. What it did show me though was just how many people drank the kool aid and were turned into sheep quite easily. People talking about being filled with rage and having their entire existence under siege because an orange man with funny hair won a little election for a job he’s already had before. The fact that most of his country wanted him to be there seems to have escaped these misguided people, along with the fact that the little lady they wanted to win was clearly a buffoon who had basically slept for the last four years. I wonder what they’ll be outraged by next week? 🤔 Still.. I thought the video was funny. 😂
