The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to conduct the Class 10 and 12 exams from February 15, 2025.

Students may have concerns regarding the exam guidelines. CBSE clarifies that exceeding the word limit does not lead to mark deductions, although spelling and grammar mistakes in language papers may impact scores.

Sample papers are useful for understanding the exam pattern but may not guarantee identical questions, and pre-board marks do not affect the final results.

Additionally, while students cannot use whiteners during the exams, they are allowed to use blue or royal blue gel pens. CBSE also assures that a new mark sheet will be issued after re-evaluation if marks change.

Salik, Dubai’s toll-gate operator, saw its net profit rise to Dh1.16 billion in 2024, a solid increase from Dh1 billion last year.

This boost was driven by the addition of two new toll-gates that went live in November, expanding Salik’s total toll locations to 10. The company also introduced variable rates for users depending on the time of day.

Despite the implementation of a 9% corporate tax starting January 1, 2024, Salik managed a 6.1% growth in profits. Another contributing factor was the reduction in the concession fee paid to RTA, which dropped from 25% to 22.5% as of April 1, 2024.

Salik’s revenue for the year reached Dh2.229 billion, up 8.7% from Dh2.1 billion in 2023, driven by an increase in toll usage linked to Dubai's improved economic activity.
