A Islamabad Based Photographer/Content Creator Muzamil Hussian Toori “MHTOORI”, has sent a legal notice to Pakistan Television (PTV) World for copyright infringement.

He took this step after PTV aired one of his original videos without permission or proper credit. Normally, TV channels seek permission and provide credit when using others' content, but PTV did neither. Muzamil noticed his video being broadcasted by PTV without consent on September 30th. In his legal notice, he demanded PTV to stop using the video and asked for compensation of Two Hundred Million PKR for the unauthorized use, following the Copyright Ordinance, 1962. He has given PTV a 7-day notice to respond; otherwise, legal action will be taken.
