Government commences Shurugwi-Mhandamabwe road reconstruction
The government has commenced the reconstruction of the Shurugwi-Mhandamahwe Road, which had been left neglected for years.
Permanent Secretary for Presidential Affairs and Monitoring Implementation of Government Programmes Fananai Madambi recently undertook a tour to see progress of the reconstruction.
Speaking during the tour, Midlands Province roads engineer Stephen Kamutema said the Shurugwi-Mhandamabwe Midlands section covers 43 km.

Help Age bring cataract eye clinic to Midlands
Help Age in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Child Care, Christian Blind Mission UK, and UKAID recently brought a cataract eye clinic to Kwekwe General Hospital, Midlands Province, a program they say will continue until 2025.
Key activities under the project include providing training on inclusive eye healthcare workers, equipping and refurbishing the Provincial eye unit a well as providing cataract surgeries.

The Midlands Show Society is set to host a gospel music festival on 26 November aimed at raising funds for their day-to-day operations.
