Adventure for good.
There are Alot of the people i adventure with, and these are just a small group but all of them get it. The people i work with, tour after tour, are the reason i keep coming back, OLT are jointly creating these missions, its almost a work of love, of passion together to create this movement, and its good to have a healthy amount of nervousness that just drives us to be better. And i think that starts right here in planning, so that when the tour happens, we've closed out all our worries so that there arent issues we carry forward.

I don't think I'll think about the worldly impact this significant tour (Old Legs Crocodile Tour) is gonna have. Until we are back in Harare. It's one of those late nights sitting around with family talking kak that It'll sink in and we'll begin to realise, Wow, this is what we did, and this is what we are apart of, this is bigger than all of us!

Today starts the craziest adventure I've ever done. 320km paddle in a kayak From Milibizi to Lomagundi Lakeside Kariba 😱

I think there's an expectation on our families. That they are proud, greatful and happy for us to be here. And the reality is yes, they are all those things. But they are also anxious, and nervous. This whole adventure, this experience has been a roller coaster ride.

I know the risk I'm taking, I'm sure my family might not know entirely the risk they are taking. My family has a significant yet different burden, than us actually padding. And that's what they live with day in and day out. The crew are the ones at risk. The families now bear the consequences of that risk.

Don't think about the paddle, the open water. Think about today. One day at a time. Be confident in the crew behind the scenes.

As always, we adventure to raise funds and awareness for the pensioners in Zimbabwe.

Addo Elephant Trail Run is not just a race. It's a family reunion. 5 years on and we were back at it this weekend. I don't think any runner comes to run 100miles in the wildest race in Africa, They come to see the family, catch up and have a weekend together out in the bush. Ambitions were accomplished, tears shed, records broken, new friends made. This is Africas Wildest Ultra!

So many stories of challenges faced, goals reached, and new horizons created today!

Januworry, A month of adventure!
Famdam time, Kayaking Rivers in Zimbabwe, Paddling Lake Chivero. Mutare, Harare, Rusape, Norton, Chegutu and almost 3000km on the road, filming trials and tribulations of the pensioners in Zimbabwe. it's not a race, it's a journey!
Less than a week In PE and on flights again. Travelling to Vicfalls for the African Albida Tourism week!

After finishing our Covid Doctors song, ‘We’re Not Superman’ and then ‘Mary’s Boy Child ‘ for 2020 Christmas, someone suggested we write a brand new Christmas song for 2021. Even though we started early in the year, I simply ‘dragged’ getting it finished but thankfully, here it is.

I had this little tune running through my head in May 2021 and passed it by my daughter who thought it had potential (snub!). We called in some very talented and good friends Fenlin, Hugo & Dave, to ‘thrash-out’ the ideas further and ‘Christmas Day’ metamorphasized. Families have been so torn by lockdowns worldwide and for many, a harsh reality of having to spend Christmas without their loved ones. This song is especially for you.

We pride ourselves in using ‘NO’ auto-tune (even though we may need it) or drum loops to avoid generic, over-sanitized sound that’s selectively destroying music. Only keys were digital. It was a challenge but lots of fun getting some 5 yr. olds into the studio for overdubs at the end. Listen to the end as we’ve tracked some beautiful carols sung by these kiddies.

We all trust that you enjoy this song as we wish you all a blessed Christmas, filled with love, hope and health, knowing Christ’s return is eminent…… Regards from South Africa!

As is our want, we’ll ride on the roads less travelled, 3000 plus kilometers of them, mostly dirt. On 2 July 2022, 10 mountain bike riders, optimistically described here as middle aged but only if they push through to 120 years old plus, will pedal out of Harare in the general direction of Namibia’s Skeleton Coast in the fifth and toughest yet edition of the Old Legs Tour, to raise money and awareness for Zimbabwe’s pensioners.
