Chinamasa declared war on July 31 protests

ZANU PF Spokesperson Mr. Patrick Chinamasa has declared war on 31 July planned demos by inciting ZANU PF youth to defend themselves against the would-be protesters.

Chinamasa called on ZANU PF supporters to use any weapon they can find against the 31 July protesters, Chinamasa also encouraged the supporters of the ruling party not to call the police or any government policing department but rather to unleash violence on the protesters without seeking any intervention from the authorities.

“Wherever you are, you should be able to defend yourself against these hooligans. Use any means at your disposal to defend yourself, do not call us like the last time. Law enforcement agencies won’t be anywhere near, don’t be intimidated by these hooligans use any means at your disposal to defend yourself” the ZANU PF spokesperson said.

The Zanu Pf spokesperson said that the ruling party was ready to thwart any protest against its leadership without fear and is more than prepared to fight, in the same sentence the spokesperson incited violence against protesters.
"They must not start that which they cannot finish, we're prepared," Chinamasa said.

ZANU PF through its spokesperson also said that the United States Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr. Brian Nicholas is a thug who wants to bully the government using protesters. Chinamasa warned Nicolas that the government was waiting for him.

“Diplomats should not act like thugs. (US Ambassador) Brian Nichols is a thug. Don’t dare Zimbabwe we are waiting for you" ZANU PF Acting spokesperson Patrick Chinamasa said.

Chinamasa also said that the MDC Alliance Deputy President Tendai Biti is using his academic prowess, which came as a result of ZANU PF’s academic benevolence, to fight the government. Chinamasa likened Biti to a sellout.

“We are surprised why such an educated person is doing that,” Chinamasa said.
