It is important to provide extra warmth for growing piglets from day one after farrowing to day 21 depends on the cost of electricity if you using infrared lamps.It increases survival especially in Winter. Bedding also comes in handy for extra warmth .Charcoal can also be used to generate heat in the farrowing house.Care should be taken to makesure there is enough ventilation to carry out fumes from the charcoal.Also make sure that mbaura ovens are being tended to prevent fire outbreaks.

Its important to provide extra warmth for growing piglets from day 1 to 21 days to guarantee survival especially in Winter..Bedding using hay can also help our piglets.Piglets are still building up fat deposits under the skin so they are not able to generate their own warmth...
