This week’s poem of the week is Broken Reflections by Nontobeko Mapuma.

Nontobeko Mapuma is a passionate storyteller with talents that span scriptwriting, creative writing, filmmaking, poetry, and authorship. She finds joy in weaving narratives that resonate deeply, whether on the page or screen. An avid reader and writer, Nontobeko thrives in spaces where creativity flourishes. When she’s not crafting stories, she can be found unwinding with a captivating series or immersing herself in the rhythm of music that inspires her next creation.

Poem of the Week is proudly brought to you by Shumba Literary Magazine, an initiative by Masibanda Pride.

This week’s Poem of the Week is Fractured Innocence by Courage Elisha Karuma.

Courage Elisha Karuma is known for his thought-provoking and emotionally rich work, written from a passion for exploring human experience. He has been crafting poems since early teenagehood with hopes of uplifting readers and the society as a whole on a global scale. Courage published his first joint adventure with RuvaraShe Creative Writes on an anthology titled “Not ForgotTen, Remembered with Love”. He has so far managed to craft more poems after that. A former Msiteli High School student who just fell in love with word-crafting. His work is highly a reflective of social commentary, weaving together themes of love, religion, identity and spirituality.
