Below👇 is an image🖼 of one of many dam🌊 walls found in Zimbabwe🇿🇼. The dam was probably built initially as a smaller weir before being expanded to its current height (~47.2m) and breadth (~305m). It is undoubtedly one of the largest dams🌊 in the country with an estimated surface area🧭 spanning 2600ha.

The river🌊 it dams flows westerly🧭 for some 150km from its source at the base of Mtoro Hill⛰️ near a town formely known as Enkeldoorn, to its confluence with a larger river near Zhombe thus submiting its aqueous tribute.

Hints: The name of the dam in question was probably derived from a shona term loosely translating to " a very large maize plant🌱 or cob🌽". One Frederick Selous once shot a white rhino🦏 there circa 1914/1880 depending on whom you ask. The skull💀 is still present in a British museum.

BITTER TRUTH OF LIFE....

Before King Ahmed of Ottoman went to war, he locked his wife (the beautiful Queen) in a private room and gave the key to his best friend Mousa and said: "If I'm not back in four days, open the room and she's yours ... "

He climbed on his horse and gallops off towards the battlefield. Half an hour later, the King noticed a cloud of dust behind him. He stopped and saw his friend galloping very fast towards him.
