Would you like to help preserve African music, culture and history while learning the origins of Bantu-Hip Hop?

Would you like to meet the genre's forefathers and be amongst the first in the world to watch a documentary on the topic?

If yes, hop through this link and consider joining the Zvinu tribe:

African Hip-Hop pioneers A Peace Of Ebony (Herbert Schwamborn
(Prince Qwela a.k.a Metaphysics), Tony Chihota (The Chief) and
Chiwoniso Maraire (R.I.P.)) invite you to support an in-depth, never-before-seen documentary on the origins of Bantu Hip-Hop, as well as to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of their groundbreaking debut album, From The Native Tongue.
In 1992 - along with producer Keith Farquharson - From The Native Tongue made Zimbabwean chart history with "Pretend It Never Happened". The song held #1 for a then-record-breaking 8 weeks; the title track performed similarly, while their third single "Vuka (Don’t Slow It Down)" peaked at #3 on the BBC Jive Zone chart. Despite these placements, this historically significant album has never been digitally released.
APOE's goal is not just to reissue From The Native Tongue or place positive new messages in the world, but to preserve Zimbabwean music history and help fellow local creatives forge a better future in these most challenging times. With this mission in mind, they've created www.zvinu.com.
A Note From The Chief & Prince Qwela:
With your help, we'll produce a historically significant documentary on Bantu Hip-Hop, pay tribute to our dearly departed bandmate Chiwoniso, digitally remaster From The Native Tongue and open doors for the next generation of talent with Zvinu.com.
Designed to support fellow Zimbabwean creatives during the pandemic and beyond, Zvinu is uniquely positioned to curate stunning, new content that celebrates the beauty, mystery as well as wonder of Africa.
We invite you to join us on this journey. Whether big or small, your contributions will go a long way towards funding Zimbabwean music, art, literature, dance, clothing design and more. And if you're on the dole (as so many are re: the pandemic) but still want to help, a share or two on your social media will work wonders spreading the word!
THANK YOU AND ONE LOVE,
Tony Chihota (The Chief)
Herbert Schwamborn (Prince Qwela)
