There's a difference between a ho**er and brakes.

Some drivers when a pedestrian is seen crossing the road they will increase speed and then start hooting, that's wrong what is applicable is to reduce speed and probably put hazards

Being right is important, but being safe is more important and reliable.

Be safe, because safety comes before right of way.

Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe
The two-second rule

The two seconds rule in driving is a widely accepted guideline for maintaining a safe following distance. It suggests that you should always maintain a minimum of a two-second gap between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you.

Here's how to apply the rule:

1. Identify a fixed point on the road ahead, like a sign or marking.

2. As the vehicle in front of you passes that point, start counting "one-thousand-one, one-thousand-two".

3. If you reach the fixed point before finishing the count, you're too close and should increase your following distance.

This rule helps ensure you have enough time to react and stop or maneuver if the vehicle in front of you suddenly stops or slows down. It's a simple yet effective way to promote safe driving and reduce the risk of accidents.

Draw inspiration from Nastia Liukin's words. In trucking, fear of failure can be a significant roadblock. Overcome this by embracing challenges head-on. Each mistake is a lesson, each setback a chance to grow stronger. Don't shy away from tough routes or difficult loads; tackle them with confidence. Your journey to success is paved with trials and errors, and it's your courage to continue that defines your path. Remember, in this industry, the bravest drivers are not those who never fail, but those who never let fear of failure hold them back.

Gender equality remains a challenge as in practice it is found wanting. There are men who believe that if we talk of gender equality, we will be fighting them yet we are only saying let us give women equal opportunities and equal space to express their capabilities.
