We learnt of the death of veteran journalist and Daily News assistant editor Maxwell Sibanda who died on Monday.
He was reportedly hospitalised after complaining of ulcers complications.
He made an immense contribution to entertainment and lifestyle journalism having cut his teeth in the 1990s.
Details of funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.

We gather that award winning rapper Ti Gonz lost his mother in the wee hours of Monday morning.
She died after a short illness and was discharged from hospital two days ago.

Pint sized musician completed a tall order and married his longtime sweetheart Caroline Rutendo Makamache last Saturday in Bulawayo.

Zim Morning Post Lifestyle had an exclusive interview with Moyo’s wife and she revealed how they met. The couple met at OR Tambo International Airport in 2018.

“We dated for a year and three months after we met at the airport in South African, he was going to Zimbabwe and I was travelling to the United States,it was love at first sight,” narrated Makamache.

THE cloud always had a silver lining for one of the country’s revered sungura musicians Alick Macheso’s career.

His middle name is Silva and he turns 52 this year.

Storytellers and arts writers alike have for long told how his rise to stardom was not an easy walk in the park.

A farm boy he was, born in the mining town of Shamva and music was his first love, we are told.

He was born on this day in 1968 and his mother was a farm worker.

His love for music saw him playing the makeshift guitars (mabhanju) and his peers not offering him a chance to strum the guitar because of his young age- but like Malcom X ,he had a dream!!
