The knowledge.

Socrates believed that true knowledge begins with admitting ignorance. He said, "I know that I know nothing." Through dialogue and questions, I believed we could get closer to the truth.

Plato:
Plato, pupil of Socrates, believed that knowledge comes from the world of ideas and ideals. In The Republic, he used the example of a cave to explain how the physical world is simply a shadow of the real world that can be accessed by philosophical reasoning.

Aristotle:
Aristotle, student of Plato, believed that knowledge came from sensory experience and observation. I believed the human mind could comprehend the world by compiling and analyzing data.

Descartes:
Descartes, the famous French philosopher, said the famous phrase: "I think, then I exist." I believed that thought and doubt were the basis of true knowledge. For him, reason is the basic tool for attaining knowledge.

Immanuel Kant:
Kant tried to balance reason and experience. I believed that knowledge arises from the mind's interaction with the physical world and that we have limits to what we can know. He said there are things the human mind cannot fully comprehend, which are “the thing itself.”

John Locke:
John Locke, the English philosopher, believed that the human mind generates a blank slate (flat tabula) and that knowledge comes from sensory experience and interaction with the outside world.

David Hume:
Hume doubted the possibility of achieving absolute and true knowledge. I believed that our knowledge is based on experience and habit, and that the mind cannot attain absolute certainty.

What do you think?

Whether you believe knowledge comes from reason or experience, understanding these viewpoints can open new horizons in your thinking.

On July 16, 2003, a group of 12 people arrived on the Florida coast in a 1951 Chevrolet truck, modified with 200-gallon drums around it and a propeller attached to the gimbal bar. At a speed of 20 km/h, he began the journey from Cuba to Key West, Florida, USA in search of freedom. The coastal guards were so impressed with their creativity that they took them in.

Be the hope to the hopeless.

Be good, be kind, be merciful, forgive, teach, embrace and empower.

Don't forget to bless a soul today, in anyway you can.

Count your blessings, name them one by one, see what the Lord has done for you.

As a token of appreciation to God, for what he has done for you, bless a soul today.

Why is it important to diversify when investing?

Offshore Scams

These scams can take a number of forms and are often a combination
of these others mentioned.
These scams promise huge profits and tax
concessions if funds are invested in another country.

05/01/2024

Advance Fee Fraud

This fraud plays on an investor’s hope that he or she can rectify a previous
investment mistake by purchasing low-priced stock. The scam begins with
an offer to pay a high price for worthless stock in your portfolio. However,
you will have to pay a fee n advance for this service. Needless to say, if
you do pay this fee you will never see that money again.

05/01/2024

Pump-and-Dump Fraud

In this scheme, a fraudster will deliberately buy shares of a very low priced
stock of a small, thinly traded company. The fraudster then proceeds to
spread false information about the company which in turn increases the
interest in the stock, which increases the stock price.
Investors then create a buying demand, as they believe that they are getting
a good value for money. This pushes the price of the stock up even more.
Then the fraudster dumps his or her shares at the high price and
disappears, leaving many people caught wth worthless shares of stock.

Ponzi Schemes

In this scheme, a central fraudster collects money from new investors and
uses it to pay dividends to early stage investors, rather than investing t or
managing it as intended
The only difference between a Pyramid Scheme and a Ponzi Scheme is that
within the Ponzi Scheme the investors do not have to recruit additional
participants. Ponzi Schemes collapse when too many investors want to
withdraw ther money at the same time, or when t becomes too difficult
to attract new investors.

Pyramid Schemes

In this scheme fraudsters claim to turn small investments into large profits
within a short period of time. However the truth behind this investment
is that “investors” are paid dividends from money contributed by new
participants to the programme. Each “investor” to the programme, has
to recruit a specified number of new partcipants to allow them to “move
up” the ladder.
Pyramd schemes usually fall apart when it becomes impossible to recruit
new partcipants.

.

Keep your Facebook accounts secure from hackers.
Have noticed alot of accounts have been hacked!

I recommend you to please observe this;

1. Use a Strong Password
(Mix letters, numbers, special characters like $,*$,/&) so that it's hard for someone to guess it.

2. Turn On Two-Factor Authentication.
(security that requires you to confirm your identity before you can log in)

3. Keep Your Application Software (Apps) Up-To-Date.
Like Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter, (browsers like UC browser, Opera min, etc.
(These are application softwares, and application softwares are made in away that they have to be updated routinely, for them to adapt to the new features) update your phone

4. Use a Password Manager
(A password manager is a program that helps you create and store strong passwords.)

5. Keep Your system Software Up-To-Date
(Update your device software routinely)
Step 1.
Go in the settings,
Step 2.
click on the "system"
Step 3.
check on the system update
Step 4
click on online update
Step 5
the update starts and the phone will restart at several times.

6. Be Careful About What You Share on Social Media
(Hackers can use information you post on social media to exploit security vulnerabilities.)

7. Be careful with some Links and Attachments
(Hackers will often send malicious links or attachments in an attempt to infect your device phone/computer with malware. Don’t click on links or open attachments from people you don’t know, and be careful, even if it’s someone you know, because they might have been hacked already)

8. Stop giving out your phone numbers anyhow.
(You will be asked to give a your phone number so that you get connected to a free wifi, free Data connection. They will send you a code and ask you to resend back, once you send it back, they use it to reset your Facebook password and your account gets hacked.)

9. And when ever you use someone's device when logging in, please log out
