Web Communication Enterprise This sports museum is a brain child of Mushota C Chibwe who is the Managing Creative Director and proprietor of Web Communication Enterprise.

The Sports museum is one of the many projects the company has decided to passionately undertake. Zambia has been a hub of a lot of sporting disciplines even before the Independence of the country in 1964. The independence stadium where the celebrations of freedom from the British who had colonized this great country has been a beacon of most sporting events amongst them football, athletics and box

ing to name but a few. Around the country, we have had stadiums’ and sports venues including sporting grounds that are at all Government schools all over this vast mineral rich country. Northern Rhodesia as Zambia was called then, has had and continues producing great sports men and women in various sports just like the many minerals that are found in our country. The various natural wanders like the great Mosi-o-tunya ‘the smoke that thunders’, the great Zambezi river where this country draws it name, the Kariba Dam ‘manmade lake,’ the Kafue river which meanders throughout the country providing livelihood to many along its path, the Luapula river with its large water body of great waters providing for more than one country, the Tumba cushi with its picks way above the clouds, the many elephants, lions, zebras, impalas, monkeys, snakes, buffaloes, fish eagles, leopards and many more too numerous to mention. All these natural wanders have not outdone the human population of our many sports administrators, coaches, trainers, commentators, organizers, supporters, umpires and referees, sports writers both past and present which this country has produced and continue to produce. The likes of Emment Kapengwe, Lottie ‘Gunduzani’ Mwale, Samuel "Zoom" Njobvu, Bedford Kapasa, Charles Mandodo, Godfrey "Ucar" Chitalu, Chisanda Mutti, Bernard ‘Bomber’ Chanda, Assous Melu, Bizwell Phiri, Ghost Mulenga, Satwant Shign, Leonard Mwape, Winston Ngumbo, Fred Mwila, Dennis Liwewe, Dino Guesspine, Hilda Edwards, Dick Mpheneka, Samuel Matete, Charles ‘charlie’ Musonda, , Charm ‘shuffle’ Chiteule, Jan Simulambo, Peter ‘Lorimer’ Tembo, Ridgeway Liwena, Jons Chilengi, Albert & Francis Musankabala and many more to numerous to mention. The many heroes we look forward to bring to the fore are the ones that participated and those who continue to participate at various levels namely, village, compound, township, suburb, Primary, Secondary, University, international and any individuals around our country. We also will house a special kind of heroes that have in one way or the other helped to muddle our heroes in various provisions of sponsorships, through setting up of teams, training, coaching, Monterey and all. The giant mining firms that have given us great teams on the copper belt, the parastatal institutions, councils, men and women in uniform teams including industries and companies that once upon a time where able to sponsor teams in any type of sport. We are seeing today the enhanced efforts of Government and private institutions in supporting sports in their current desire to build sporting infrastructure around the country, which continues to help our sporting individuals and teams to continue participating and upgrading the quality of sports to international levels. This museum is a lifelong project by Web Communication Enterprise and will house pictures, paintings, sculpture and relics of people that have participated in sports. This is for and on behalf of all the people of Zambia who have in one way or the other created, supported, participated, engaged, followed sports and helped to build the foundations of our sports in this great country Zambia. We will welcome any individuals, teams, institutions, Government and the people of Zambia to support us in writing the histories of sports in this great nation. This project would help to rekindled fresh desires by more people to participate and support sports.
