Listen carefully comrades
There's something I have been forgetting to point out or talk about. It's always important to do things the right way even if it sometimes calls for our greatest efforts.
It's not right for Brig General Peter Bailey - the deputy director for strategy, engagement, and programs at AFRICOM - to see the President of the Republic of Zambia in the way he did. Military, or general, protocol doesn't allow it. At least, it should have been the Commander of AFRICOM representing the President of United States, Joe Biden. Worse, Brig General Bailey shouldn't have started with meeting the President and then go to see the Minister of Defence and after that the commanders of the Zambia Army, the Zambia Air Force and the Zambia National Service. Their own statement stated that after the meeting with the President, Brig General Bailey would meet the Minister of Defence. He should have started with Army, Air Force and ZNS commanders, then the Minister of Defence and lastly the President. And he should have been accompanied by some senior officers from our military units to see the President.
I wonder what is going on with the chief of protocol, Brig General John Bulawayo. He should have advised better on this.
