LUMANGWE Radio is a Community Radio Station, registered as a Private Limited Company By Guarantee under the Registrar of Companies Act of 1994 in 2015. LUMANGWE Radio is a community radio station guided by its purpose of being a broadcasting station. It ensures and abides by broadcasting ethics like any other broadcasting service provider in the country, that is, to provide a professional broadcas
ting service in adhering to the ethics of broadcasting and we do this while observing the following :
1.That the community of Mporokoso and Northern Province has as much as possible a say in the way Lumangwe Radio conducts its business.
2 . That orientation of the programs and content is focused on meeting the needs and aspirations of the people and communities of Mporokoso and its surrounding areas. This means that the radio station serves the purpose of promoting the interests of the local communities at all times both as a source of information, entertainment and as a platform for discussing development issues. Despite Lumangwe Radio being a community radio station among its aim and objectives includes income generating activities for sustainability and growth at a challenging and manageable rate and to be a good citizen. It provides a service at a minimal profit and as a result creates employment.
