Life always has a way of bitting us down and those downs sends us down the road of pain, anxiety, stress, depression and any other issues related....such stories come to light on the 27th May 2023, LUSAKA CONTEMPORARY ARTS CENTRE AND HUAS of X in association with Sibuku's Artistry will host a Mental health event dabbed
Here I and many other creatives get a chance to share our stories..... And mine is one of the struggles with suicidal thoughts for a long time.
Come through and let us talk and share stories that will strengthen and help the next person.
At The 📍LUSAKA CONTEMPORARY ARTS CENTRE.

He is wise and witty just like the Kalulu 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Here's a brief about him in a nutshell;

"I am a lecturer at the University of Zambia and a writer, poet, expert in language and culture, as well as a literary critic. Protecting intangible cultural heritage, literary theory, and the African novel are some of my areas of interest. In the Rufunsa District of Zambia, I established Kalulu Kreativez in 2017, a center for African arts and culture that would host a national performing arts and cultural center. Also, it offers a number of arts and culture workshops, primarily for young people. I support educating young people about African arts and culture in order to promote sustainable development. I also hold UNESCO certification as an ICH international facilitator. " - Mwenecho Wa Gankanani Moyo

Poet: CHISOMO LUNGU

Dear Mr President
I am fully aware
That my country was born rich
With a surfeit of minerals
Embedded in its palms
Among them we have gold and copper
Cobalt, nickel and silver
But why then does poverty
Hover over its people like a chopper

If you asked for my opinion
I would attribute the higher levels of suffering
To the reckless governing of our previous leaders
Who were so ignorant and mean
That they only cared about their heartless cadres
Some of them used their dirty hands
To paint this poor nation
With stains of corruption
It breaks my heart to the core
To see my motherland
Drowning in a pool of debt
When we have all it takes to settle it

I have alot to talk about
But I will end here
For I know that its not been long
Since you were sworn in
So I will not bombard you
With alot of questions
But all I ask from you
Dear Mr President
Is that you keep to your promises
Be transparent and accountable
As you execute your duties

Lastly, I would like to wish you God's guidance
For I know that the journey you are on
Is not an easy one
And please remember, dear Mr President
That Jehovah is watching you

Lead us not into poverty and starvation
Instead lead us into the betterment of this nation

You are the help zambians have been cry for
Hope you dont pay appointment with disappointment

Promises must be fulfilled
