MISTAKEN IDENTITY? GAME SCOUT KILLS HIS WORKMATE

Septenber 17, 2023 - A 43-year-old game scout at Mzimbiri Farm Ranch in Lusaka West was shot dead by his fellow game scout after mistaking him to be a poacher.

Adamson Zimba sustained a gunshot wound on the forehead and was pronounced dead at the University Teaching Hospitals where he was rushed for treatment.

He was shot at by Robert Mwale aged 32 using a Shotgun on September 16, 2023 around 23:30 hours at Mzimbiri Farm Ranch in Lusaka West.

Brief facts of the incident are that on September 16, 2023 at around 23:00 hours, Mr. Zimba together with other three game scouts took food to their fellow game scouts who were patrolling in the ranch.

They delivered the food and without telling his colleagues, Mr. Zimba moved out of the place. As the group was patrolling, they heard some noise like that of a person moving around. It was at that moment that Robert Mwale opened fire in the direction where the noise was coming from thinking it was a poacher.

Later they checked around only to discover that it was their fellow game scout who they found laying in a pool of blood.

Police were alerted and visited the scene where they found the victim unconscious with bullet wounds on the forehead.

He was rushed to UTH where he was pronounced dead. The body is in the same Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem and burial.

Police have arrested Mr. Mwale for murder and the firearm has been kept for further Investigations.

A 47-year-old farmer of Mukumbo area in Lufwanyama district on the Copperbelt has died after being beaten by another farmer who accused him of having an affair with his wife.

Derrick Mashilipa is believed to have had an argument with Carlos Chitangala over an affair with his wife and the argument resulted in a fight of which the suspect used kicks, slaps and fists.

During the fight, the victim , who is now deceased Mr Mashilipa fell to the ground and the suspect left.

Copperbelt police commanding officer Peacewell Mweemba said the deceased died yesterday in intensive care unit where he was admitted from last week.

"Brief facts are that the deceased was drinking beer on February 8th this year with Mr Chitangala, the suspect around 10:00 hours in Mukumbo area. The suspect then accused the deceased of having an affair with his wife. The two had an argument which resulted in a fight and the suspect beat up the deceased using fists, kicks and slaps. The deceased fell to the ground and the suspect left him there. The owner of the drinking place, an old lady who is yet to be identified upon realising that the victim was not getting up went and informed his wife,but she didn't take it serious and only sent her son around 16:00 hours who found the condition of the father was not good," he said.

He said the victims son then called his father's young brother, Langson Mashilipa who travelled from Mpongwe and arrived in Mukumbo area.

"When he saw the condition of his brother who wasn't even talking at the time, he rushed him to Grizzly Mine Hospital where they were referred to Kalulushi General Hospital and Later Kitwe Teaching Hospital where he was admitted to the intensive care unit until yesterday, February 22nd when he passed away.The reatives did not report the matter to the police until the deceased passed away. A GRADE 10 pupil of Lusaka has been r***d in a car after the taxi driver who gave her a lift intoxicated her with alcohol before allegedly turning on her.

On a rainy Friday, the victim aged 17 was on her way to school when George Banda 31, of Zingalume compound offered to give her a lift to school so that she does not get soaked.

Banda however drove his Toyota Vitz in a different direction, taking her in an isolated area where he allegedly r***d her after giving her alcohol.

“Police preliminary investigations revealed that the girl left home in Meanwood Phase 3 area around 09:00 hours for School and on her way, a Toyota Vitz stopped and the driver offered her a lift since it was raining.

“The man changed direction and drove his car to an isolated place where he allegedly r***d the girl after giving her some drinks suspected to be alcohol,” Police deputy public relations officer Danny Mwale has said.

The teenager was rescued by concern members of the public who approached the car where they found both the Banda and the victim in their birth suits.

Mr Mwale said the juvenile sustained bleeding private parts before she was rushed to Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital for medical attention.

ENOCK Mwepu’s illness: I really wish TB Joshua was still alive!

This afternoon, Zambia was greeted with the cold news of Enock Mwepu’s sudden collapse while diving on the Great North Road. It’s been reported that he was rushed to UTH where he is currently being attended to. I am hoping and trusting that our soccer hero will be discharged within the soonest possible time.

You see, the retirement of Mwepu from active soccer about five months ago really make me wish that Prophet TB Joshua was still alive. I say so because there was just a way in which God used TB Joshua to heal people.

Today, it is almost impossible to go to any country anywhere in the world and not find at least one ordinary person who attributes their healing from disease to God through Prophet Joshua! He helped many, many soccer stars with life-threatening health conditions.

In January 2010, during the Africa Cup Nations game between Nigeria and Benin, soccer fans feared for the worst when they saw Joseph Yobo being substituted due to an injury.
A scan conducted in the Angolan capital Luanda seemed to prove the skeptics right as Yobo was said to be out for the rest of the tournament.

Yobo then went missing from the Nigerian squad and officials said that he had returned to his then English club Everton to seek permission to go to a specialist in France.
2 days later, Yobo was back on the Nigerian bench.
Nothing more was said about Yobo’s return until a day later when a Nigerian church-goer said that the then Everton defender had not been to Europe at all.
Yobo was actually visiting The Synagogue Church of All Nations.

He went in there limping but came out in a condition perfect enough to convince his coach to put him on the starting 11.
