A 32-YEAR-OLD woman of Ndola has lost her life after the vehicle she was driving was hit into excessively by a Rosa bus.

Ireen Samboko sustained a head injury, fractured legs and arms and died on the spot after the accident.
The accident is said to have occured when the driver of the Rosa bus who was driving along the Ndola- kitwe dual carriage way from North to South and due to excessive speed hit into the Rav 4 driven from South to North on the Ndola-kitwe carriage way.
Acting Copperbelt Commanding officer Sharon Zulu who confirmed the incident with Mwebantu said that the accident occured on the Ndola- kitwe dual carriage opposite Avic of Baluba area yesterday.
She said involved were two motor vehicles being a Toyota RAV4 registration BCD 4814 which was extensively damaged from the front part and being driven by Ms Samboko of Bupingulo Road Kansenshi in Ndola.
"Also involved was a Mitsubishi Rosa bus registration AOB 634 also extensively damaged. The same was being driven by an unknown driver. Unknown in the sense that when the accident occured, with the bus carrying passengers, the same were rushed to different hospitals being Ndola, Kitwe and Luanshya and so in the confusion , the driver could not be identified," she said.
Ms Zulu said the car being driven by Ms Samboko was carrying three other passengers being Nawa Mwiya aged 58 who sustained a deep cut, Kabolwe Mumba aged 55 who sustained fractured legs and Rachel Luchama aged 22 who complained of body pains.
