The wounds are still fresh, it’s not easy to forget that Thursday night. Just after finishing reading the message, tears started dropping from my eyes.

I didn’t know what to do, I felt cold, empty and confused but that didn’t stop the tears from freely ruining my make up. I glared at my phone’s screen again with disbelief. Why did he have to break up with me, and his timing was even worse. You see, I was scheduled to give a keynote speech at a conference that would have been life changing.
My bestie was just standing at the corner with his hands in his pockets. Why didn't this happen before the event? Ohh wait maybe it’s cause I am the black sheep of the family. The one who is always blamed and compared to other people. I have a sister called Lesta, she is the one I am always compared to. You can hear from our names who is the favourite.
With the encouragement of my friends, I put myself together as the yango we order arrived.
I quickly went to my room, stripped naked, got into a fresh dress and removed my makeup while I looked at my scars. I don’t deserve this!
My name is Chinyama Thokozile Tembo. I am 20 years old, a student at one of the biggest Universities on the Copperbelt. I wont say much for now, grab your warm cup of tea and some biscuits while I tell you about me.
