NO STADIUM FOR CHILE 1

The funeral mass for slain Kitwe businessman Richard Chileshe, alias Chile One, will not be held at Nkana Stadium as earlier planned because his family does not want confrontation with anyone.

Family spokesperson Kelvin Tembo, who earlier said relatives had engaged Nkana Football Club management to allow them to hold
the funeral service at the stadium, yesterday said Mr Chileshe will be prayed for at Nkana East Cemetery before burial today.

“We have decided not to hold the funeral mass at the stadium. We are not into a fight with anyone,” he said.

Mr Tembo said the funeral programme will start at 10:00 hours today.

Mr Chileshe, 42, was shot dead allegedly by his 30-year-old wife, Annie M***a, in the early hours of Saturday after a marital dispute.

Police have since charged M***a with murder

Kalumbila surrounding communities

Why do they live this life in a good land full of natural resources? The main activity here in Kalumbila is the mine, and those who don’t work for the mines depends on doing businesses with those that works for the mines. Why are they not also employed by the same mines? They don’t have the minimum qualifications that the mines wants. What is the social negative impact? Lack of proper shelter and poverty. Our young ladies who have failed to go to school are being found in bars and nightclubs in search for who will take them and get paid for the services. Our brothers do small businesses and to those who can not do small business are being found drinking (kachasu) local brewed beer. Is there a solution to their problems? The mines, government, and the community can solve their problems by for example most of their land is not developed because of resources. What government can do is find land, where they can put livestock and do farming for the purpose of training the locals how to keep livestock and do farming. Once the locals are being trained they should be loaned startups like 2goats and 2 pigs and if possible seedlings. When the locals start producing, they have to sell part of their products back to the farm they got the starter ups from ( the reason is 1 pay the loan 2 help them remit Napsa 3 find them market for them so that they don’t leave their fields because of looking for markets) if this I dear goes for a period of 5 years, I’m sure these peoples lives can improve.
