GOOD EVENING LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, INCLUDING MY GOOD PEOPLE OF MUFUMBWE.

I want to take this opportunity and thank the Republican president Mr. Hakainde Hichilema for coming to North Western province and open Kasenseli gold mine together with Kalengwa mine which was closed for over 40 years. The opening of Kasenseli gold mine and Kalengwa mine will not only benefit the people of mufumbwe and mwinilunga, instead it will benefit the entire North Western province and Zambia at large.

Country Men and Women, I want to take this opportunity and congratulate our republican president for taking this milestone,this has not only brought happiness to the people of north Western province but the whole country is happy with this gesture. This is what it means to be the president,your excellence Mr. Hakainde Hichilema ,this is the true reflection that you are a president for everyone.

To the people of mufumbwe and Zambia as a country,I want to take this rare opportunity and tell you that, I Davies Mbalau ,will forever be here to support the vision of our Republican president of Zambia Mr Hakainde Hichilema. This is the reason why we need proper leadership at the district level to support the vision and leadership of our able and capable president Hakainde Hichilema. Offcourse the district leadership is working,we just need more power and energy to support his vision.

Let us all support the president of Zambia and his leadership if we are to see meaningful development in our province.

SOLWEZI MUNICIPAL COUNCIL ACQUIRES ROAD MARKING MACHINE

Solwezi Municipal Council has procured a Road marking machine as part of its ongoing commitment to improve local infrastructure and road safety in Solwezi district.

This investment underscores the council’s dedication to provide residents with well-maintained roads and safe transportation networks.

The advanced machine will enable efficient and precise application of road markings, including pedestrian crossings, lane demarcations, and other critical safety indicators.

The acquisition of this road marking machine is a significant step in enhancing our road infrastructure. It will not only reduce maintenance costs but also ensure faster and more accurate road marking projects across the district.

The machine’s features include:

The Chipolololo are off to Monrovia for Tuesday’s Group G, Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final qualifier against Sierra Leone.

Already qualified Zambia face Sierra Leone in Liberia.

KASENSELI MINE OPENS TOMORROW.

President Hakainde Hichilema is expected in the province tomorrow 17/11/2024 ahead of opening Kasenseli gold mine in Chief Chibwika's Chiefdom in Mwinilunga District.

The President is later on the same day in the afternoon expected to fly to Chief Ntambu's area ( Mwinilunga) to Commission Kasanjiku mini hdro power station..

The President concludes his working visit to North- Western province on Monday as he reopens Kalengwa mine in Mufumbwe District.

OVER TWO HUNDRED WORKERS HAVE LOST JOBS IN KASEMPA 'S JIFUMPA DUE TO THE REVOKING OF AN ACTIVE MINING LICENCE BY MINISTRY OF MINES

Over two hundred workers have lost their jobs in Jifumpa of Kasempa district of northwestern province after a named investor's active mining licence was removed from the portal and given to a different investor.

Some workers talked to have expressed their displeasure and asked president Hakainde Hichilema's government to intervain as most of the community members have remained jobless.

Costele mine management also have wondered why their active mining licence has been removed from the system and have explained that this came as a shock to them.

They have accused the mines minister of not being fair.Meanwhile some civic organization have also shown their disappointment by the act from the ministry of mines.

When asked for a comment, minister of mines said,there was an illegality between the two mining firms but could not disclose more details and which mine was at fault.He additionally said this was what prompted the decision.

This came to light today as the team comprising of four cabinet ministers paid a courtesy call on the provincial minister in Solwezi.

The team is in the province ahead of the president 's visit as he is scheduled to fulfill his promise of opening of Kasenseli and Kalengwa mines among other programs.
