After a few minutes her cup of drink that looked nd smelled like mosi run out so she asked if I could buy Henesy for her.

I was honest with her and I said "No I don't afford Henesy actually I don't afford you "
She gave me that look and said she loves my honesty. When I said I don't afford her I could see the pride in her feeling like she the Eish!!

A few weeks later I went back to the same club found her drinking mosi and when she saw me I just smiled and waved. went straight to the counter then found an elegant looking lady sitted at the counter alone drinking ,so I asked if I can join her and she said yes so I did ,we got talking. The night was done then we walked to the car park, then I asked if I can drop her then she pulled out a car key for a Mercedes 2018 model then said she had a great night, we should do it again.

Point to young people

You can't have standard's that depend on other people's money. If you are going to have standard's it must be standard's you can meet yourself.

I'm not stingy but sometimes I want to understand the logic before I spend my money. Why must I meet the standard's that you cannot meet yourself.. I should do those things by the desire of my own standards.

Before King Ahmed of Ottoman went to war, he locked his wife (the beautiful Queen) in a private room and gave the key to his best friend Mousa and said: "If I'm not back in four days, open the room and she's yours ... "

He climbed on his horse and gallops off towards the battlefield. Half an hour later, the King noticed a cloud of dust behind him. He stopped and saw his friend galloping very fast towards him.

"What's wrong ?" Asked the King. Out of breath, his friend Mousa responded: "You gave me the wrong key"

What????

Can you imagine !

He didn't even wait for the said 4days before trying the keys.

Be careful with the one you consider your best "friends" and whom you think you can entrust them with your hard earned treasure - they could be wishing you dead soon and hopefully inherit your God-given fortune!

Just an Advice.

"Didier Drogba came into my life in the fifth minute of a Champions League game in Marseille’s mythical Vélodrome. I’d hardly sat down when that giant with the 11 on his shirt scored. He celebrated that goal like it was his last, the crowd went mad, the noise was deafening."

"At half-time I found him in the tunnel and told him: ‘I don’t have the money to buy you, but do you have any cousins that can play like you in the Ivory Coast?’ He laughed, hugged me and said: ‘One day you’ll be in a club which can buy me.’"

"Six months later I signed for Chelsea. I had found a super powerful club which everybody wanted to negotiate with, everybody wanted to be linked to – and everybody wanted to play for.

"I had a number of options, but I arrived and said: ‘I want Didier Drogba.’ Doubts and questions were raised by a few people: ‘Why this one?’, ‘Why not that one?’, ‘Are you sure he will adapt?’, ‘Is he really that good?’

‘I want Didier Drogba,’ I said."

"A few days passed and I met with Didier in a private airport in London. Again he hugged me, but this time in an unforgettable way: an embrace that showed this man’s gratitude, and the affection he feels towards people who mean a lot to him. Indescribable."

"Then he told me: ‘Thank you. I will fight for you. You won’t regret it. I will stay loyal to you forever.’

And that’s just what he’s done…"

"His loyalty came out in his leadership and in the way he always faced up to the difficult moments. Moments when nothing else matters than to be there for your leader and your colleagues. This was a person I knew I could count on whenever and wherever I needed."

"When the team was under pressure he would help defend; when he felt pain he would stretch himself to the limit and then of course came what he did best: scoring goals.

Those goals brought him titles & awards, but what stays with me are the countless stories we have together."

Happy Birthday to Didier Drogba who Turns 44 Years old today 🥳

In 1943 black American soldiers faced off with white American Military police during World War II on British soil. Yes you read correctly black American soldiers had to fight their own white American soldiers, while in England, where they were fighting for the world. Why? Because the English town of Bamber Bridge in Lancashire was not segregated so they treated the black soldiers like all other races, aka blacks were free to eat, drink anywhere, BUT back in America segregation of blacks and whites still existed. So essentially the American army went to someone else’s country and demanded they adopted America’s racist practices. The folks in Lancashire were like hell no we like the black soldiers in fact during that time the American created Jitterbug dance was popular and the British women were eager to learn it from the black soldiers. The fondness for the black American soldiers was also supported by those famous essays written by George Orwell who stated that the black American soldiers had the best manners of all the American troops. So when the American Military police found out that their own black American soldiers were drinking at the same pubs as white people they went in to arrest them. The people in the town got mad about the treatment of the black soldiers and decided to then turn their pubs into “BLACKS ONLY DRINKING PUBS” the very opposite of what was taking place in America with their WHITES ONLY businesses. Of course this pi**ed off the American military so guns went blazing, and when word spread back at camp that black soldiers had been shot, scores of men formed a crowd, some carrying rifles and by midnight more American military police arrived with a machine gun-equipped vehicle, so the black soldiers had no choice but to get rifles from British stores while others barricaded themselves back on base, so now it was American white soldiers versus American black soldiers. Several soldiers died including 17 black American soldiers. Back in America the battle was hushed up because they didn’t want the country to find out that they were fighting their own soldiers which would anger the black population and weaken the moral in the country.

MEALIE meal prices cannot reduce further than they currently are because the cost of production remains high due to interest rates.

Ministry of Agriculture Permanent Secretary Green Mbozi says despite recording a bumper harvest during the 2020-2021 season, the cost at which millers produce mealie meal is high.

A 25 kilogramme bag of breakfast is fetching between K140 and K150 in chain stores, while the same quantity of the commodity is selling about K160 in markets.

THERE IS NO PLAN!

By Amb. Emmanuel Mwamba

I am not surprised that many people have now seen what it is.

In my review of President Hakainde Hichilema's and the New Dawn Government six months in office, I stated that President Hichilema appeared to be at sea.

Many thought he was methodical or deliberate about resolving the deep economic and social crises that Zambia face.

But from his appointments of certain members made to key positions to the failure to pronounce himself on possible solutions, it is clear that President Hichilema has failed to launch.

So he is not methodical but he seems totally overwhelmed by the challenges that faces this country and he is lacking direction.

He is running Government on adhoc basis, speaking to issues as they rise, failing to give hope to a suffering people and failing to follow up on his earlier remarks, commitments and pledges.

The team he has assembled is worse. When they speak they fumble and stumble!

We have no economic recovery plan in place, no new policies, no aggressive mechanisms to tackle the collosal local and foreign debt, and no ambitious programme to resolve the youth unemployment crisis.

And the goodwill coming from winning the August 2021 elections is wearing thin and the honeymoon is clearly over.

Mr. President, get a plan and get to work!

And don't get that plan from foreign entities, get it from Zambia and Zambians.

Mthoniswa urges families affected
by road accidents to sue govt

By Masuzyo Chakwe

THE Zambian Roads & Highway Safety Group (ZRHSG) says families affected by the recent spate of road traffic accidents should sue the State because of bad roads.

Group administrator Mthoniswa Banda says most of the accidents are attributed to the generally bad road network in the country.

"Most highways in Zambia are narrow and have poor road markings and signage, are riddled with big and deep potholes and have poor maintenance records which have resulted in many motorists damaging their vehicles and, or losing their lives and those of their passengers," said Banda.

“When motorists begin dragging to court the government, their agencies like Road Development Agency (RDA) or NRFA or their contractors, may be our roads can be worked on and accidents prevented."

No matter how events unfold, Russia is ready – Putin

By Mast Reporter

RUSSIAN President Vladimir Putin has vowed that no matter how the events unfold in Ukraine, “we are ready”.

Addressing the Ukraine conflict on Thursday, President Putin said, “I have no doubt that the government institutions at all levels and specialists will work effectively to guarantee the stability of our economy, financial system and social wellbeing, and the same applies to corporate executives and the entire business community.”

“I would also like to address the military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Comrade officers, your fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers did not fight the N**i occupiers and did not defend our common motherland to allow today’s neo-N**is to seize power in Ukraine. You swore the oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people and not to the junta, the people’s adversary which is plundering Ukraine and humiliating the Ukrainian people. I urge you to refuse to carry out their criminal orders. I urge you to immediately lay down arms and go home. I will explain what this means: the military personnel of the Ukrainian army who do this will be able to freely leave the zone of hostilities and return to their families. I want to emphasise again that all responsibility for the possible bloodshed will lie fully and wholly with the ruling Ukrainian regime,” he said.

“I would now like to say something very important for those who may be tempted to interfere in these developments from the outside. No matter who tries to stand in our way or all the more so create threats for our country and our people, they must know that Russia will respond immediately, and the consequences will be such as you have never seen in your entire history. No matter how the events unfold, we are ready. All the necessary decisions in this regard have been taken. I hope that my words will be heard.”

President Putin said the culture and values, experience and traditions of “our ancestors invariably provided a powerful underpinning for the wellbeing and the very existence of entire states and nations, their success and viability”.
“We always need to be strong, but this strength can take on different forms. The ‘empire of lies,’... proceeds in its policy primarily from rough, direct force. This is when our saying on being ‘all brawn and no brains’ applies. We all know that having justice and truth on our side is what makes us truly strong,” he said.

“I am certain that devoted soldiers and officers of Russia’s armed forces will perform their duty with professionalism and courage. I have no doubt that the government institutions at all levels and specialists will work effectively to guarantee the stability of our economy, financial system and social wellbeing, and the same applies to corporate executives and the entire business community. I hope that all parliamentary parties and civil society take a consolidated, patriotic position. At the end of the day, the future of Russia is in the hands of its multi-ethnic people, as has always been the case in our history. This means that the decisions that I made will be executed, that we will achieve the goals we have set, and reliably guarantee the security of our motherland.”
President Putin outlined several factors for sending troops into Ukraine, among them Russia’s “biggest concerns and worries, and about the fundamental threats which irresponsible Western politicians created for Russia consistently, rudely and unceremoniously from year to year”.
“I am referring to the eastward expansion of NATO, which is moving its military infrastructure ever closer to the Russian border. It is a fact that over the past 30 years we have been patiently trying to come to an agreement with the leading NATO countries regarding the principles of equal and indivisible security in Europe. In response to our proposals, we invariably faced either cynical deception and lies or attempts at pressure and blackmail, while the North Atlantic alliance continued to expand despite our protests and concerns. Its military machine is moving and, as I said, is approaching our very border,” he explained.
“Why is this happening? Where did this insolent manner of talking down from the height of their exceptionalism, infallibility and all-permissiveness come from? What is the explanation for this contemptuous and disdainful attitude to our interests and absolutely legitimate demands? The answer is simple. Everything is clear and obvious. In the late 1980s, the Soviet Union grew weaker and subsequently broke apart. That experience should serve as a good lesson for us, because it has shown us that the paralysis of power and will is the first step towards complete degradation and oblivion. We lost confidence for only one moment, but it was enough to disrupt the balance of forces in the world.”
President Putin said as a result, the old treaties and agreements are no longer effective.
“Entreaties and requests do not help. Anything that does not suit the dominant state, the powers that be, is denounced as archaic, obsolete and useless. At the same time, everything it regards as useful is presented as the ultimate truth and forced on others regardless of the cost, abusively and by any means available. Those who refuse to comply are subjected to strong-arm tactics,” he noted. “What I am saying now does not concern only Russia, and Russia is not the only
country that is worried about this. This has to do with the entire system of international relations, and sometimes even US allies. The collapse of the Soviet Union led to a redivision of the world, and the norms of international law that developed by that time – and the most important of them, the fundamental norms that were adopted following WWII and largely formalised its outcome – came in the way of those who declared themselves the winners of the Cold War.”

He said practice, international relations and the rules regulating them had to take into account the changes that took place in the world and in the balance of forces.

“However, this should have been done professionally, smoothly, patiently, and with due regard and respect for the interests of all states and one’s own responsibility. Instead, we saw a state of euphoria created by the feeling of absolute superiority, a kind of modern absolutism, coupled with the low cultural standards and arrogance of those who formulated and pushed through decisions that suited only themselves. The situation took a different turn,” President Putin said.

“There are many examples of this. First a bloody military operation was waged against Belgrade, without the UN Security Council’s sanction but with combat aircraft and missiles used in the heart of Europe. The bombing of peaceful cities and vital infrastructure went on for several weeks. I have to recall these facts, because some Western colleagues prefer to forget them, and when we mentioned the event, they prefer to avoid speaking about international law, instead emphasising the circumstances which they interpret as they think necessary. Then came the turn of Iraq, Libya and Syria. The illegal use of military power against Libya and the distortion of all the UN Security Council decisions on Libya ruined the state, created a huge seat of international terrorism, and pushed the country towards a humanitarian catastrophe, into the vortex of a civil war, which has continued there for years. The tragedy, which was created for hundreds of thousands and even millions of people not only in Libya but in the whole region, has led to a large-scale exodus from the Middle East and North Africa to Europe.”

He said a similar fate was also prepared for Syria. “The combat operations conducted by the Western coalition in that country without the Syrian government’s approval or UN Security Council’s sanction can only be defined as aggression and intervention. But the example that stands apart from the above events is, of course, the invasion of Iraq without any legal grounds. They used the pretext of allegedly reliable information available in the United States about the presence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq...” he recalled.

“It later turned out that all of that was a fake and a sham, and that Iraq did not have any chemical weapons. Incredible and shocking but true. We witnessed lies made at the highest state level and voiced from the high UN rostrum. As a result, we see a tremendous loss in human life, damage, destruction, and a colossal upsurge of terrorism. Overall, it appears that nearly everywhere, in many regions of the world where the United States brought its law and order, this created bloody, non-healing wounds and the curse of international terrorism and extremism. I have only mentioned the most glaring but far from only examples of disregard for international law.”

President Putin said this array includes promises not to expand NATO eastwards even by an inch.

“To reiterate: they have deceived us, or, to put it simply, they have played us. Sure, one often hears that politics is a dirty business. It could be, but it shouldn’t be as dirty as it is now, not to such an extent. This type of con-artist behaviour is contrary not only to the principles of international relations but also and above all to the generally accepted norms of morality and ethics. Where is justice and truth here? Just lies and hypocrisy all around. Incidentally, US politicians, political scientists and journalists write and say that a veritable ‘empire of lies’ has been created inside the United States in recent years. It is hard to disagree with this – it is really so,” noted President Putin.

“But one should not be modest about it: the United States is still a great country and a system-forming power. All its satellites not only humbly and obediently say yes to and parrot it at the slightest pretext but also imitate its behaviour and enthusiastically accept the rules it is offering them. Therefore, one can say with good reason and confidence that the whole so-called Western bloc formed by the United States in its own image and likeness is, in its entirety, the very same ‘empire of lies’. As for our country, after the disintegration of the USSR, given the entire unprecedented openness of the new, modern Russia, its readiness to work honestly with the United States and other Western partners, and its practically unilateral disarmament, they immediately tried to put the final squeeze on us, finish us off, and utterly destroy us. This is how it was in the 1990s and the early 2000s, when the so-called collective West was actively supporting separatism and gangs of mercenaries in southern Russia. What victims, what losses we had to sustain and what trials we had to go through at that time before we broke the back of international terrorism in the Caucasus! We remember this and will never forget...
