**SuperSport Secures Last-Minute Broadcasting Rights for 2023 AFCON**
SuperSport Changes Its Mind and Secures Last-Minute Rights for 2023 AFCON

By mpongwe pa top reloaded

In a surprising twist of events, SuperSport TV has reversed its decision and secured the broadcasting rights for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will kick off this weekend in Ivory Coast. This announcement comes just days after the Multichoice-owned sports network had announced its withdrawal from the tournament due to losing the bid to Togo-based broadcaster, New World TV.

SuperSport’s initial withdrawal had caused confusion among football fans and subscribers, given their long history as one of the most reliable broadcasters of African football competitions. Their reluctance to show recent competitions, including the newly launched African Football League, had also raised doubts about their future involvement in Caf events.

However, in order to keep its large subscriber base and meet the needs of football lovers across the continent, SuperSport has managed to reach an agreement at the last minute. The details of the agreement are not disclosed, but it shows the network’s dedication to providing comprehensive coverage of Africa’s premier football event.

The initial decision by Caf to award New World TV the broadcasting rights was praised as a groundbreaking move, with Caf president Patrice Motsepe congratulating the deal as the most significant investment by a Pan-African broadcaster in Caf’s history. Motsepe commended New World TV for its innovative approach to content delivery, highlighting its adaptability to the changing preferences of modern football audiences.

The sudden change in broadcasting rights shows how competitive sports broadcasting is in Africa and how important the AFCON is as a premier football event. As fans get ready for the highly anticipated tournament, SuperSport’s last-minute acquisition ensures that viewers across the continent can enjoy unparalleled coverage and analysis of the exciting matches.

With the 2023 AFCON set to showcase the best of African football talent, SuperSport’s renewed commitment to broadcasting the tournament confirms its position as a leading sports network dedicated to promoting the beautiful game across the continent. As fans await kick-off, they can look forward to an exhilarating tournament, with SuperSport ready to deliver comprehensive coverage of every momentous moment.

We have received reports about transfers occurring within our district. It is troubling that the focus seems to be on displacing local individuals while bringing in unfamiliar faces. This practice appears to be highly unfair to the local community, and it is essential that those responsible for these transfers reconsider their actions. We urge the individuals advocating for these transfers to put an end to this unfairness.

They are back now in the village for Christmas
That’s the only time they see their parents🥲

They bring 4kgs of sugar, 3 loaves of bread and 3kgs of rice and two cases of beer for themselves. When they leave after a week they take with them 30kgs of maize, a whole goat 🐐, 5kgs of peanut butter and a 15kgs of sweet potatoes. Now do the maths😏
