TOMORROW, 25th FEBRUARY, 2023, NIGERIA GOES TO THE POLLS....

The Presidential election on Saturday will feature an extraordinary contest for votes, with the largest voting bloc in the nation being in the North West.

More than 93.5 million Nigerian adults are registered to vote, and 18 political parties have put out candidates for the various posts.
Nigeria's democracy has seen some growth over the past 20 years or so.

There have, however, also been difficulties too.
Voter behavior at the polls is frequently impacted by these difficulties. The forces that will be at work when people elect the next group of leaders on February 25th include those of ethnicity, religion, wealth, history, and insecurity.

There are 18 political parties fielding candidates for the presidential election, among them are :
Peter Gregory Obi: from underdog to a leading candidate.

Atiku Abubakar: a 6th time contender

Bola Tinubu: Kingmaker wanting to be king.

We can only wish our friends in Nigeria, a peaceful, free and fair election tomorrow.

OF BUILDING NETWORKS/SOCIAL CAPITAL

From the time I started following the Late Felix Galamukani Banda, in 2009, I noticed how he strongly emphasized on building networks, and investing in them.
At one point in 2018/19, while he was delivering a motivational talk to us, at the University of Zambia, he said, "Don't take the people you meet here for granted, connect with them as much as you can, because you will need them soon or later." You will meet some of them in these offices, when looking for jobs, he added!

Yesterday, I saw his inner circle through the Newly Appointed, Zambian High Commission to The United States of America (USA) Dr. Chibamba Kanyama, through his Facebook platform, announced that, they(friends) to the late Mr. Felix Galamukani Banda, will take up all the funeral costs, to ensure they accord their late friend a befitting funeral and indeed send off, and to also lessen the burden of the family during this trying moment. Wow!

This melted my heart!πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί

See how practical the late Felix Banda was?
His words have vindicated him, even in his death!

What a Man!!!!!!!

Even before his death, the man mentioned that some of his friends in his inner circle had to sponsor some of his medical costs to go abroad for specialized treatment. Just Wow!

I urge everyone reading this, that, please, shall we invest in our networks. Let's build sustainable, quality and healthy networks, we shall surely need them, soon or later. And let's be deliberate about this.

Galamukani, kapena Nilelo!
Indeed Nilelo!

We celebrate your life Sir, Mr. Felix Banda.

Go well!!!!

15.01.23

This morning, I joined my fellow Christians at Our Heavenly Father Parish, in Chelstone,
where we celebrated mass together.

Inspired by the scripture in Mathew 3:13-14, we were encouraged by Father John Mukenge, to emulate the humility of Jesus Christ. The act of humility was seen in submitting to John’s baptism.
Jesus submitted to the baptism of John as a public testimony of His obedient spirit and as an example to the people. Jesus humbled Himself as an example to those who would be part of the kingdom of God.

May we choose a path of humility and humbleness before God and his people, for we shall be rewarded greatly.

Remember to mask up and maintain social distance, COVID is back!

May God bless y'all and our Country Zambia πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡².

1st January, 2023

Fellow Country Men, Women, and the Youth, I thank the Almighty God for another Year that we have now experienced as a privileged Nation.

I wish you all, a very happy and prosperous New Year as we stay steadfast in our efforts to overcome the many obstacles we face as individuals, and indeed a Nation.

Let's triumph and let's triumph more.
May God bless us for our unwavering devotion to Zambia, our motherland, and for our selfless pursuit of the common good.
May God bless the Republic of Zambia πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡².

Seasonal greetings to you all, our fellow Citizens.
Earlier today, we paid our second visit to the affected family of the 85 Year Old Woman who was evicted from a family property in Mandevu Compound.

Following our pledge, as an Organization, to find a house to rent for the affected family to stay in, between and the time the solution to the problem is found, we made an effort to visit the family again, and inquire on how far the process has gone to secure the said alternative house, so we can fulfill our pledge as soon as possible.

We also delivered some food items to help the affected family during this situation that has fallen upon them.

May God bless Y'all and our Country Zambia.

Following several calls from members of society, regards the affected family of the 85 Year Old Woman from Mandevu Compound, who was evicted from a property that was sold by her grand daughter, we took some time as the Hope of Refuge Foundation to have visit the affected family and appreciate the situation that has made rounds on social media platforms.

We have met the affected family, who have given us facts around the issue at hand.

We have also taken time to visit the Area Councilor to discuss how best we can be of help to the affected family.

To this effect we wish to announce
to the general public that we, as the Hope of Refuge Foundation, have pledged to look for an alternative house for rent for the affected family as the issue is being relooked at.

We shall pay their rentals between now and the time the issue is resolved.

We shall also in conjunction with the Area Councilor, Mr. Mwenya provide other things that may be needed by the affected family during this period.

We must also mention that the matter is active in Court, hence we may not be able to disclose more information around this issue, lest we are cited for contempt.
Thank you to all that reached out to us, over the matter.

May God bless you all.

Yours in Christ Service,

ITS NOT TOO LATE!

Thirty (30) days from now, the year 2022 will come to a close.
I am sending love to everyone who's not had it easy this year.

I know you are tired. I know you are physically and emotionally drained thus far.

You’ve been searching for ways to heal yourself, and still the world seems to crumble all around.
You have tried searching for that job; You have fought for that relationship/marriage;You have tried setting up that business, but nothing has happened.

Hear this beloved, please don't lose hope. There's a thousand beautiful things to be proud of from your life, and those waiting for you. Sunshine comes to all who feel rain.

Remain steadfast, focused and stay resilient.

There's still hope for you and I.

Everything shall surely fall into place with time.

Let's finish stronger!

Happy New Month Y'all.
With Love, ❀️!
~Greg~.

Don't allow a rough patch in your life to make you think your whole life is worthless.
You don't judge a whole journey on the basis of one pothole.
Hold on, things will get better.

21/11/2022

Don’t be ashamed of your hustle. No one is going to feed you if you go broke.

A New Week is here again, the hustle continues.
Have a good one y'all.

"LOCAL IS LAKA".

In a world where you can buy anywhere, buy local.

By purchasing food and other goods that are produced locally you stimulate the economy in which you live. Jobs are created or retained, the community gains revenue, families and cultures are supported, and things thrive and grow.
Talking of buying local, I visited Mika Meats outlet in Twin Palm to get one or two meat products.
I got myself some very tasty beef sausage.
I would recommend you to visit one of their outlets too.

Local is laka.

Dear Ladies, remember you will meet Men doing better than your man.
Men, you will equally meet ladies much more beautiful, classy and hardworking than your lady.
You will never be satisfied until you have SELF DISCIPLINE.
Happy weekend y'all!
