NKANA Football Club has unveiled four players to beef up the squad, goalkeeper MOONGA NDALA from MUZA , midfielder LAURENT MUMA from Forest Rangers, AUSTINE BANDA from NAPSA Stars and Striker Idris Mbombo from AZAM FC of Tanzania.

The club expressed confidence that the new signed players have the potential to make a significant impact to the clubs performance.

Isoka Young Stars FC wrapped up the weekend with a 1 all draw against ZCA.

IYS scored through a screamer of a goal from School boy international and U20 prospect, Khozyani Manda.

The goal came through an impressive assist from Daniel Muswela.

Muswela's fine form as a striker continues!

Daniel Muswela continued with his fine form last weekend when he scored in a highly contested game.

He scored a beauty of a goal in week 9 that sent his team into the top 4 of the Muchinga Provincial Division One football league.

Isoka Young Stars will this season be relying on the young prolific striker for goals and to help the team win the provincial league and qualify for national league play-offs.

Daniel Muswela has so far scored 4 goals in 9 games.

Daniel has attracted a lot of interest in football circles and we hope he continues with that form this weekend.

Modern day football is very demanding, especially for strikers.

A lot of us fans focus much on goals but in our view, we should also pay attention to a player’s technicality because that’s what brings in goals.

A player’s ability to hold on to the ball, create spaces, position themselves well to receive balls, improvising in tight situations etc is what sets a striker apart.

Daniel seems fortunate because he possesses these traits and abilities and if he harnesses them, he may just surprise all of us!

He is a Star in the making!!

The Rise and Rise of Peter Katuma!

The year was 2022, it had just been announced that a National Youth Festival Tournament had been organized to bring together provincial select youth soccer teams from all the 10 Provinces of the Country. This tournament was to be held in the capital City, Lusaka.

Muchinga Province was not left out! The task before the Province was to gather capable youths who would rise to this challenge and not only compete, but compete with honors and possibly bring the ‘’crown’’ home. Under the tutorage of Coach Isaac Fundi and one TD, Mambe Joyford, trials were arranged in Chinsali to identify a 21 man provincial select team to travel to Lusaka for this prestigious tournament.

This was the start of Peter Katuma’s impressive journey. The lad would go on to score 10 sensation goals during the selection process and was later drafted into the final team. Muchinga Province went on to win the tournament after playing Lusaka Provincial select in the finals and Peter Katuma assisted a record 3 times throughout the tournament.

His progress did not end there. The Isoka Young Stars FC clinical finisher would finish second top goal scorer for the Club in the 2022/23 Muchinga Provincial Division one league after finding the back of the net a record 17 times. Peter is described by his peers as a combination of Lautaro Martinez, David Villa and a dose of Juan Román Riquelme!

It will be interesting to see how he will fair this season. Will he beat his previous record? Only time will tell.

Power dynamos football club and Sarago Motors a company that deal in brand new motor vehicles have signed a memorandum of understanding MOU . the signing ceremony was held today at garden at garden hotel in Kitwe.

Power Dynamos president Alpha Mwale did not disclose the amount involved but he said that the deal is the biggest that the club as gotten from the local corporate world in the recent past .

FAZ SCORES FIRST WITH MANIFESTO NIGHT…As Candidates Gear For Today’s Poll

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has held a historic manifesto night ahead of tomorrow’s elective Annual General Meeting in Livingstone.

Candidates were granted an opportunity to make last minute open campaigns before delegates uninhibited which marked the dawn of a well-received tradition in the Zambian game.

The Andrew Kamanga executive has been pioneering openness in every aspect off football management and more than demonstrated it in allowing all candidates to freely campaign.
Rivals enjoyed a picture perfect moment at the close of the debate as they stepped down to mingle with delegates.

FAZ president Andrew Kamanga and his challenger Emmanuel Munaile exhibited true sportsman like behaviour by stepping up to the podium and openly canvassing support.

Kamanga highlighted his success with grassroots football and women football that has become a signature of his tenure.
The FAZ boss also laid bare the club friendly sharing of resources that has seen clubs receive K1 million from the measly K7, 000 previously received.

His rival Munaile pledged to provide heal the divisions in the Zambian game.

In the vice presidency Justin Mumba rolled back his years with Zesco United that set the Ndola side apart from the rest of the clubs in Zambia.

Gideon Mwenya anchored his submission on his long service to the game that amounts to over a decade.

The race for the female candidate provided more lively sentiments with Brenda K***a saying the rise of women football in the last four years was part of her efforts.

Priscilla Katoba who is chairperson for Green Buffaloes said that her track record with women football support spoke for itself.

Hilda Mutangama also pressed her case saying she had dedicated herself to serving the game as the work at KYSA showed while Nellie Miamba said she was best placed to take up the female candidacy for her experience in the game was visible.

FAZ goes to the polls tomorrow (Saturday) at Fairmount Hotel with councillors eager to usher new office bearers after delayed polls.
FIFA is expected to attend the AGM that will usher in office bearers that will run football until 2025.
