Winning an Oscar in Hollywood, or a Grammy, does NOT come with cash prizes, because the award itself is so prestigious that your BOOKING FEE as an actor or artist goes up IMMEDIATELY, we need to work hard as an industry till our local awards are recognized outside our boarders, coz right now, it’s just vibes..
Local artists would rather have cash prizes attached to their local awards because their careers are honestly not affected even after they win.. they can’t even use their awards to bargain for higher booking fees..
We have work to do. 🙏🏾
