UNZAMESA President Encourages Students to Join Association and Unlock Data Insights
*Lusaka, 21 August* β The University of Zambia Mathematics Economics and Statistics Association (UNZAMESA) is gearing up for its latest workshop, "Unlocking Data Insights with Stata and SPSS," set to commence next week Monday. This exclusive workshop is open only to UNZA students who are members of the association and is offered at no cost to them.
UNZAMESA President Gift Michael Khondowe has emphasized the importance of this workshop for students aiming to enhance their data analysis skills. "In today's world, data is more valuable than ever. Understanding how to effectively analyze and interpret data is a skill that will open many doors for our students," Khondowe said.
He further urged UNZA students to take full advantage of this opportunity. "This workshop is not just about learning Stata and SPSS; itβs about equipping our members with the tools they need to excel in their academic and professional lives. I strongly encourage all UNZA students to join the association and participate in this and future workshops," he added.
The upcoming workshop will cover essential topics in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and the interpretation of results, blending both theoretical and practical sessions to ensure participants gain valuable, hands-on experience.
Khondowe also hinted at future workshops planned by UNZAMESA, which will delve into advanced topics such as ARDL (AutoRegressive Distributed Lag), VECM (Vector Error Correction Model), Excel, and R. These initiatives are part of a broader effort by the association to provide its members with a competitive edge in the increasingly data-centric world.
