🙏 *Why you need to quickly join MEUZ as a merchandiser in Zambia*

👉As a MEUZ member you are also more likely to have more paid holiday and more control over your working hours.

Are you aware that you shouldn't work beyond *48hrs* in a week? But how true is that? Calculate the number of hours you work in a week. MEUZ is making it true for you

👉 Late salary payment like we see some of the merchandisers getting paid after 40 to 60 days. Who does that. MEUZ is here to ask your employer the who does that question and they will be answerable. A merchandiser also has responsibilities

MEUZ HAD INTERVIEWS TODAY

Merchandisers Association of Zambia Spokesperson Albert Mfichani has announced that his organisation has concluded salary negotiations for his members.

Speaking in an interview with the Defender online Mfichani disclosed that he will however not reveal what has been discussed on by his association and the employers for the merchandisers.

He further disclosed that the negotiations have not been easy considering the fluctuations in the Zambian economy.

Mfichani advised his members to be calm and believe in their ability to negotiate as the sector has had no union stating that have been formed to change the status quo of their members.

" The members are excited to have a union of their own even though they still need to be educated on the importance of belonging to us," he stated.

He has assured the members that his union shall always be there to stand up for them in cases where they feel intimidated by the employers.

The Merchandisers Association is a recently formed to look after workers in the merchandise sector.
