What Is Colour Grading?
Colour Grading is the post-production process by which a colourist stylises the colour scheme of the footage by βpaintingβ on top of what theyβve established through colour correction.
During colour grading, colourists use editing software to stylise the footage - emphasising the visual tone and atmosphere of a movie which makes it look more cinematic.
Colourists use colour grading to adjust contrast, colour balance, white balance, black level, saturation, and luminance.
