May we all learn to understand before we judge others. Have the desire to understand a person's perspective of why. We all have shortcomings but when we learn to listen and understand we'll be more accepting of others view points on things.

Remember you have a purpose. Don't let the devil tell you otherwise. You're beautiful, strong, a child of the King. Walk in your purpose and I pray God gives you the perseverance when the going gets hard.

May the Lord bless you greatly.

Forgiveness in Matthew 18

In Matthew 18, Jesus teaches about forgiveness in verses 21-35. Peter asks Jesus how many times he should forgive someone who sins against him, suggesting seven times. Jesus responds by saying not just seven times, but seventy times seven, emphasizing limitless forgiveness.

To illustrate this point, Jesus tells a parable about a king who forgave a servant's enormous debt when the servant pleaded for mercy. However, that same forgiven servant later refused to forgive a fellow servant's much smaller debt and had him thrown into prison.

The key lesson here is that God's forgiveness is boundless, and in the same way, we should also forgive others generously and without limit, recognizing that we have been forgiven much by God. This passage underscores the importance of forgiveness and the consequences of harboring unforgiveness in our hearts.

In the Lords prayer Jesus says we need to forgive those who trespass against us . Why must we forgive?

In the Lord's Prayer, specifically in the line "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us," Jesus teaches us to forgive others as we seek forgiveness from God. This implies that forgiveness should be a constant and ongoing practice in our lives. We should forgive others:

Readily: We should be quick to forgive when someone wrongs us, not holding onto grudges or seeking revenge.

Continually: Forgiveness is not a one-time act but a continuous attitude. It means forgiving not just once but repeatedly if necessary.

Unconditionally: We should forgive without attaching conditions or expecting anything in return. Just as God's forgiveness is unconditional, so should ours be.

From the Heart: True forgiveness comes from the heart, not just in words but in genuine willingness to let go of resentment and anger.
